MUST READ! The unit that we stayed offered more than we expected. It was beyond fully equipped, and we lacked nothing. The owner of the property Alonso was very responsive to any questions and helpful with information. The home was spectacular and spacious. I was surprised with all the pools/lazy river/private beach-were all amazing. We found fallen coconuts and drank delicious coconut water-right off the land. Many community friendly dogs. I loved watching the wildlife, green parrots, iguanas, and listening to the iconic Coqui frogs. The water features/some showers at the pools were not working, and others were under construction. The city is a little sketchy, parade w/a canon shooting off at 3 am scared us, but it connects to many larger areas (both directions) with lots of food choices. We found a Walgreens and Walmart super center close by. Side note-stay on main roads at night and research city safety before taking pictures-some places don’t like tourists. Make sure to book your reservations for ferry trips to bioluminescent islands in adavce-they book up fast. San Juan, Old San Juan, T-Mobile District, El Yunque Rain Forest, Fort (Castles), Plaza Las Americas (mall). I would go back to this in a heartbeat. Also make sure if checking luggage, pack light (washer/dryer in room) and leave room for souvenirs. SJU weighs and measures everything. You can buy large bottles alcohol at your terminal and they will seal for you to take on plane. Enjoy your trip—-we surly did.
