My experience at the Armas Hotel was not great. However, I want to start with a few positives. The employees were polite and kind, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job—this hotel is meticulously maintained.
Unfortunately, my interaction with the manager was disappointing. When I approached him about the lack of hot water in my room, he responded with arrogance and sarcasm instead of simply acknowledging the issue and offering a solution. I spent my first full day, one night, and half of the second day without being able to shower, and rather than reassuring me that the problem would be fixed, he seemed more interested in dismissing my concerns. A simple apology, a discount, or even a complimentary night would have been a reasonable response.
To make matters worse, on my last night, the fire alarm went off at 2 a.m., and we had to wait by the roadside for 45 minutes before returning to our rooms—again, no communication from the manager.
Another issue that several other guests and I discussed is that the rooms don’t have windows, which should be clearly stated in the room details. Additionally, basic amenities like a hairdryer, ironing board, and iron were missing.
That said, the hotel’s location is great, and I truly appreciated the kindness of the front desk staff, the maintenance worker, and the housekeepers. They were professional, compassionate, and helpful throughout my stay.
