This is the perfect location for exploring downtown Old San Juan. Due to the rustic nature of the area, you can't flush toilet paper so you have to be very comfortable with the people you travel with in your room. I recommend bringing a sound machine as the rooms aren't insulated well and you can hear outside noises easily. The amenities and the rooftop terrace are perfect for socializing and relaxing.
Very nice front desk, soft beds, awesome shower and roof top pool.

Of course, parking options was the biggest problem because of its location. The room I stayed in was beautiful but lighting, ceiling fans and toilet needed repair. Noisy partygoers and neighboring couple in the next room clearly were unaware how thin the walls were. It was entertaining in its own way. I actually enjoyed staying here!

Property itself was great and it was in the perfect location for exploring Old San Juan. Mini pool on the roof was great. Room was clean but “weathered”. My wife was surprised but it grew on her. She actually ended up loving it. Sign next to toilet asked that we flushed nothing down the toilet as there were pipe issues. This should really be corrected as I wouldn’t have booked otherwise but we flushed as we normally would at home. Didn’t have any issues. My only real disappointment with the stay was overhearing some commentary from the cleaning staff about my wife. For some reason they thought Spanish was a language not known to guests. Due to that I wouldn’t stay here again but with that one exception our stay was great.
Pros: The property is very close to all important old San Juan tourist spots. Very good dining options within 5-10 minutes of walking distance. Property is well maintained.
Cons: Free breakfast is a scam with one dish. The continental breakfast provided free is ham and cheese omelette. That’s it. If you want to add anything else to the omelette, that’s a separate dish with extra money. So if you want to eat one dish for breakfast for your entire stay, then yes, it’s ‘free’ breakfast. The room cleaning is very shabby, especially bathroom cleaning. They don’t change the bath mat towel everyday, just fold it and give the same towel again. I don’t think the toilet is cleaned every day either because there was a piece of toilet paper stuck to my seat the whole stay.
Location was good. Very comfortable bed. No hot water. Pool area was not like the pictures. Water leaking into the bathroom from outside. Nice balcony.
Excellent staff and great location! So easy to walk to pretty much everything in Viejo San Juan. The King deluxe room was incredibly charming, kind of old school colonial-style, with tile floors, wooden jalousie windows, and 20-ft ceilings (plus AC!). Frankly, my favorite part was that it didn’t feel like a standard hotel. It was practically a studio apt with a full fridge and stove in what was a real kitchen (bigger than in some NYC apts!). I got to stock my favorite basics and didn’t feel like a tourist - like I was part of the neighborhood.
