Captain Java's Cottage in beautiful Morro Bay!

An enchanting private cottage, ideal for two. Steps from the sand, whale spouts, sand dollars and sea otters to greet you. Private entrance, King size bed, fireplace and private bath. Outdoor seating area to enjoy ocean sunset views. Small refrigerator, microwave and place settings to make your stay easy and comfortable. Outdoor storage for beach toys, if you would like to bring them. Private washer and dryer.
You are surrounded by fabulous scenery and places to visit, whether walking, biking, horseback riding, surfing, kayaking, paddle-boarding or hiking. Morro Bay's Embarcadero is a relaxed walk from the cottage. For further jaunts, you can get in your car with easy access to major Central Coast attractions, such as the famous Hearst Castle, Paso Robles wine country, Cayucos pier, Cambria's moonstone boardwalk and Montana de Oro.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is only 15 minutes by car, so parents can visit children at school and escape back to the coast easily.
We do not allow smoking, children or pets.

Close to the Ocean
We loved our stay at Captain Java's! We arrived mid December - in the dark - and it was so nice to see festive Christmas lights on to welcome us. We also found the poinsettia on the table - a wonderful holiday touch, as well as the sweets beside it. There was some cereal, creamer and coffee for us to use, as well as some things in the fridge - which was all very much appreciated! The fireplace was lovely to turn on in the evening and take the chill off. We stayed for two weeks, and we enjoyed coming 'home' every night! it is just a 5 - 10 minute walk down to the dunes and the ocean, which we greatly enjoyed. Most mornings we went on beach walks. So many things to do around the area and the coastal towns aren't far away. We loved that the drive to San Louis Obispo was just 12 miles away on a four lane besides lots of farm lands. We hope to stay here again sometime.

A Little Something Extra!
"A Little Something Extra" doesn't even come close to describing the numerous amenities provided by our hosts, Sabine & David. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a fine bottle of bubbly, chilled glasses and a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers. And, while the weather was less amenable, the cottage was warm & cozy & quiet. Amazing place!
Property is steps away from the beach with an ocean view around the corner on clear days. Room is very comfortable with every amenity and special touches provided by the owners. Outside area has a patio and a small fire bowl to enjoy the mornings/evenings and listen to the ocean. Short drive to Morro Bay Embarcadero and just off of Highway 1. Owners on sight, very friendly and yet private. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Excellent property and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Fell in Love with Morro Bay and Captain Java's Cottage!
We had a wonderful time! The cottage is perfectly located just North of Morro Bay 1/2 block from the ocean. The first thing I noticed was how clean and perfectly appointed it was. I tucked into bed the first night and was comforted by the clean sheets and blankets. Loved the fireplace and whatever we needed was right there. So much detail even the decor was perfectly suited, like the lighthouses at the top of the shower. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very clean and accommodating! The matte white walls gave off a lovely beach vibe. The fireplace for heat and windows for ocean air were perfect! Would absolutely recommend for a peaceful get away. Also, a short walk to an area of beach that is clean and serene, perfect for walks at low tide.
