A very manic and uncomfortable check in experience. I am black and bald and a woman and the check in person is very clearly only used to white visitors in a white town. It was uncomfortable and unpleasant beyond words.

What a great place. We loved everything about this place. Real coffee maker. The china cups and saucers were so great. Very good storage spaces. Fridge with a freezer! The bathroom has a real cabinet with storage for toiletries. The bed was comfortable. Hearing worked very well. We will be back!

We’ve stayed here before and it’s always clean and tidy. Super kind owners and they really seem to care and are attentive. Basic amenities with a reasonable price. Bed is comfortable. My husband likes firmer, I like softer and be both slept well. We normally don’t choose motels but opt for hotels. This one is an exception to our rule. A nice bonus is that we had a nice view of Morro Rock when exiting our room. 😁

This place is amazing! It’s in walking distance to the beach and the Embarcadero. The property is clean and comfortable. The owner is so sweet and takes her time to make sure you are doing well.

Hidden Gem in Morro Bay
We have never stayed in Morro Bay, but we decided to this time when we went to the Central Coast. This motel/hotel is adorable, clean and Ann and her husband (the owners) are kind and welcoming. The location is perfect for walking down to Embarcadero St or up Morro Bay Blvd to shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here as it's clean, quiet and close to everything.

Very nice visit to the Sundown Inn at Morro Bay. Sundown Inn is a basic old time motel. The owners are on the property and are very gracious and keep the motel in excellent shape. The room was very clean and comfortable. (Even had a vibrating bed!) The motel is within walking distance to the waterfront and to the small downtown which has plenty of choices for dining. Visiting from the east coast, but if ever we return to the Central Coast, we would definitely stay here again.
