I gave this place 2 stars for many reasons. At first and online this place does seem really good due to the reviews. But I do have to say that the 5 nights we were here was not pleasant. So I got the room from expedia at a discounted price. The resort takes away some amenities due to not paying full price of the room. Despite multiple posts and reception telling us breakfast is free we were informed day 4 that it was not free for us due to not paying full price for the room. Another issue I had with the resort was the quality of the food and mixed drinks. The food we got was mostly alright, nothing special. The rum and coke, vodka sprite both tasted so bad we just gave it back. But the one time we ordered breakfast the hotdog and meat was cold, but the egg was alright. The room we had was supposedly the 'elite' room. I did ask a special favor and they did accommodate!! But the TV remote did not work, no stove to cook with but does have a vent hood! About a 10 min walk to some stores if you wanted food or drinks. The one thing that really upset me was all the disorganization with activities along with the fact that I was always quoted a higher price for them than they quoted my girlfriend who is a local. For instance the price for island hopping for her ranged from 2500-3500 total. I was quoted from 4500-7000 total. We ended up having to find our own boats to do island hopping and scuba diving. Hi Joe! I am truly sorry for your negative experience. These types of mishaps could have been cleared up and taken care of properly had you brought it up with us on-site, we may have made your experience a little better.I highly recommend your next stay be at a much higher-end hotel, like the Lighthouse Marina or Le Charme in Subic Bay. Their prices are around triple to ours but you can expect the type of facility and service to be at its best at all times. If you see our prices, we are actually not a luxury resort. We are a small, family-owned business. The reason it says "elite" on Expedia is because we unfortunately do not get to customize the names of the room. If you see our website, we actually call it "Beachview Room". We sadly no longer allow cooking inside of the rooms because of past experiences. The vent is there for those who rent long-term.The alcohol we use in our budget cocktails are local alcohol. We have our alcohol on display at the 2nd floor indoor bar - Jack Coke is available, for Rum Coke, etc, we use local alcohol. Apologies for not informing you. We have also never had negative feedback for the food. There are high-end restaurants around 45minutes south of us, in Subic Bay, one of my favorites is El Filos. Best mexican resto around!We are the only place in our area that offer scuba diving. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we had to sell our boats so we ask the locals for their prices and they vary. Island hopping depends on how many islands / cove you visit. We do not price according to your race, we are Australian and know how that feels, our activities menu is displayed at the bar. Your girlfriend had asked how much it was to visit Capones Island, and you asked for Island Hopping (2 islands or more) with Scuba Diving, which explains the different rates. We also would like to apologize for all of this, as we have not yet gotten back on track with operations since the Pandemic and building of the coastal road- we were out of business for almost 3 years. We do have someone coming in to take over activities starting May - it is unfortunate that we didn't get him in earlier but we can't hire out of budget at the moment. Worth your money!

We booked a budget room good for 4. But unfortunately, 2 of our friends couldn't make it. Since there were only 2 of us, they upgraded our room to a private room! The staff were so nice and accommodating specially at the restaurant. If you don't want to wait at the bar area, they can deliver it to your room! Though we only spent one night, we had a really great time! Thank you and good job Mope Beach Resort Team!

Ocean View/Penthouse einfach aber grosszügig

Das Zimmer Ocean View/Penthouse ist sehr grosszügig/gross und hat eine tolle Aussicht auf das Meer und den Sonnenuntergang. Sauberkeit ist definitiv verbesserungswürdig und eine tägliche Reinigung ist versprochen. Diese wurde durch uns nicht festgestellt (und da nur 2 Tages Aufenthalt auch nicht explizit eingefordert). Leider sehr ringhörig sowohl gegenüber der unterhalb liegenden Bar/Restaurant wie auch gegenüber der Zugangstreppe. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und obwohl nicht versprochen (und für spätere Aufenthalter ohne Gewähr) funktionierte in unserem Zimmer das kostenlose WLAN. Im unten liegenden Restaurant/Bar-Bereich kann man Speisen oder etwas trinken, was angenehm ist. Die Bemühungen den Strand sauber zu halten mit Hinweisen und Abfallkörben ist lobenswert. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte einwandfrei, das Waschbecken hat nur kalt Wasser Anschluss, den Warmwasseraufbereiter/Durchlauferhitzer bei der Dusche funktionierte nach etwas herumprobieren wunschgemäss. Über alles gesehen passt das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Not really sure why the reviews are high. The place might be cheap but they dont even give you coffee or water in your room. Initial ad says that the beach view room has complete ammenities but that wasnt true. There was no stove or fridge. Breakfast menu is very limited. Overall, food wasnt that good (but not that expensive).
