We really enjoyed our stay. All of the staff were really friendly, and answered all the questions that we had. They had great selection of things to go see and do in town. The place is within walking distance to great food options. Just be aware that you would need cash for must of them. All in all, we cannot wait to return.

Gail and Vince were great at this facility - always smiling and wanting to help as much as possible. Would have liked a microwave to heat up some leftovers, chair cushions on loungers and a snack/light meal selection at pool bar. New restaurant was exceptional for dinner - great service! We had a golf cart and there was lots of parking and security for same - we always felt safe!

Towels were great, nice bed, nice closet and kitchen with utensils and dishes. Great happy hour bartender. Lobby staff were very friendly, but did not give us copies of receipts AND our water taxi tickets! We had to scramble to get proper vouchers showing we paid and could get reticketed. We still would like complete list of expenses and receipts. Room needs two night stands and two suitcase stands, plus a chair. Pools were uninviting.

The Neely renovated space is beautiful. Desk staff was always very helpful. The bed & bedding were great! The biggest let down is the lack of sand on the “beachfront”. You cannot get into the water many places. The drive to Secret Beachis an hour. Also couldn’t get in the pools-they were cold. The food was really reasonable & good! The drinks were stipif high-$10 for mixed drink & $8 for bottle of beer.

Not a top of the line resort by any means but a good value, newly renovated and clean and on the beach. There’s a sea wall so not a swimming beach,and no dining options on site, but epic sunrises and real people as guests. Snorkel tour to barrier reef pick up at their dock, and short beach walk to dining, etc Golf carts everywhere 😀

Mediocre

The property and room were clean and the room was large with living room area, kitchen, bedroom and bath with large closet. What is called a balcony is really only a little 2x5 area to step out onto to view the building next door which is maybe 6-8ft away. You can look to the right and see a slice of beach and water. Not sure of the name of room but it was second floor side room. Staff very friendly. If you’re looking for a hotel with a lively nightlife scene, this is not the place. That was fine with me. The bar is small and closed around 6pm but there are many other options close by. My complaints are very little lighting in living area and none in kitchen. Not an issue in daytime with curtains open. Also, getting water is not easy, have to go to lobby to refill, and had to ask for coffee packets. As far as eco-friendly, housekeeping changed towels way to often if you’re the kind of person who thinks about such things. I’m sure I could have requested fewer changes but never really thought to do so. All in all, a nice place in a decent location, but not many frills.

The concierge service was excellent. They arranged tours, dinner reservations, golf cart rental, and taxi to the airport. There are four other properties along the beach, with restaurants, that we could walk to and felt safe even after dark.

We really enjoyed the property and our room. It provided us with most of the supplies we needed. Could have used a pot and a toaster. Also the beach chairs could use some pads. The staff were amazing. Would definitely book there again.

I had a great stay here the views are amazing the staff was so welcoming and when I had an issue they solved it quick and accommodated me. They decorated my room for my birthday beautifully. I would highly recommend this resort if staying in San Pedro.

This was a wonderful experience. The hotel is on a white sandy beach, the rooms were well appointed, the staff was attentive, and while they say its been 'refurbished', actually it looked and felt like a brand new hotel. It wasn't in the bustle that sourounds many of Ambergris beach hotels yet close enough to walk to great restaurants...one Gonzalo and the Princess, right next door, was uterly fantastic. Im going to do a seperate review for them because the place deserves it. We highly recommend Bananas on the Beach. Carlo and Marie January 2024.

After finding cockroaches in our room, this was the hotel manager‘s response to me. After careful consideration of the situation, upper management has decided to refund the remainder of your stay. We hope this will give you the opportunity to find accommodations that better meet your expectations. Apparently cockroaches meet their standard!!!
