Awesome sunrise
Posted Dec. 20, 2024 on HomeAwayThe people and food were awesome. The locals will go out of the way to assist. The restaurants near the condo were fantastic so if you don’t feel like taking a ride into town you have several options. The only negative is: the road out to the condo is a bit rough. The folks who live there tell us work on the road starts in Jan.

A lovely solo visit to Belize
Posted May 30, 2023 on HomeAwayThe property was as listed. The others people staying at the property were fabulous. As a solo woman traveler I felt very safe. The x pats there showed me around and included me in activities. The dock , kayak and pool were very relaxing. Enough quiet around to read and meditate. It was a perfect balance. I do recommend a golf cart and print a map of the entire island before you get to Belize. Internet is not great around the island. Overall I highly recommend the location.

Just ok...
Posted Mar. 18, 2020 on HomeAwayWhile the area was nice, pool was clean and the beach was beautiful, the unit itself was dirty and sheets appeared to not have been washed. Washing machine leaked when we ran it and had to lay down towels to soak up the water. The place is a bit too far north for our liking, took about 20 minutes on golf cart to get back to the areas where people congregated.

Amazing!!
Posted Aug. 9, 2019 on HomeAwayBlue Water Beach Villas is amazing! Great location to the reef! We kayaked out and snorkeled the reef for hours. Sun Deck is an awesome restaurant right next door. You will not be disappointed!!

Quiet Condo with a view
Posted May 20, 2019 on HomeAwayOur stay at Blue Water Beach Villas was amazing! It was our first visit to Belize and we were so pleased with our decision to stay at Blue Water Beach Villas! The condo is north of town, but nothing a short golf cart ride didn’t fix. We loved everything about the condo, having a pool, cooking facilities and a washer and drier not to mention AC! I highly recommend staying at this condo!

Amazing stay outside touristy San Pedro
Posted Apr. 22, 2019 on HomeAwayWe had an incredible stay at this location. The apartment was clean and modern with WiFi, laundry, and air conditioning. About 7 miles from the major San Pedro area which made for a fun scenic golf cart ride to and from and also allowed us to escape the touristy parts of the island. The accommodation has a private beach in the back with a pool and incredible access to the ocean. I would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Ambergris caye

Very Dissatisfied
Posted Jan. 17, 2019 on HomeAwayWe recently stayed at this condo for 3 nights, and almost instantly regretted this decision. We were already staying on the island, and booked last minute. Because it was last minute, we hadn't arranged for anyone to meet us and bring us to the property (our fault). This is a fairly new property, and not on any of the maps on our phones. So finding it, or rather finding someone who knew where it was, was already a major challenge. (Everyone we called was in a different country and having a difficult time directing us on where to go)
When we did find the location, we pulled up to workers milling about the property. There was no one there to greet us, other than the maintenance guy who is essentially the caretaker/security/information/ect. (he was really nice and helpful...as a side)
When we walked into the condo, there was construction debris on the floor, as this unit didn't seem 100% ready for renters. I picked up 1 hard piece of plastic with a metal barb coming out of the top so we didn't puncture our feet. The rest of the rubble we brushed aside with our feet. The bedroom is positioned at the front of the condo (by the walkway entrance), with 2 large windows set about 4 feet off the ground. They did not have any curtains or any way to obstruct the view from the outside. So you could literally just walk up to our room and watch us sleep.
There was a full 5 gallon Culligan bottle sitting in the kitchen, however there was no Culligan dispenser to put it on. In order to drink water, we had to lift the huge bottle and pour it out.
On the subject of water, we stayed there for 3 nights without any hot water. While taking a shower the first night, we realized it went from cold to colder. We alerted the owners, the maintenance guy came to look at it, and determined that the heater didn't work, and they would not be able to fix it until after we left. So every night we had to use a wash cloth to clean off the salt, bug spray and suntan lotion from the day's events...terrible
We had a TV but no cable. Granted we are on an island, and didn't care to watch TV, but even if we wanted to relax and surf, that option was not available.
And lastly, the furniture had animal hair on it, and smelled musty along with all of the bedding, etc. There were no courtesy tide pods to at least do an initial wash to sleep in clean, non-stinky linens. We emailed the property manager with our issues of the condo while we were there, and she still has not responded.
