This property was great. It was very close to downtown San Pedro, but was on the beach side so it was very quiet. Great view of the sunrise ower the water. We rented a golf cart and were able to park right in front. Beds and pillows were very comfortable.
This not a normal hotel, there is no onsite receptionist. They give you a code to a lock box to get your room key. There is a property manager that we saw taking care of the property several times. The only issue we had is check in was 3, and when I booked, they emailed me that there was an option to leave our bags if we arrived early. I let them know we would likely arrive about 12:30 and they emaield me that I could get my key early and drop my bag in the room if it was not ready yet. When we arrived there was no key in the box for us. I called the not that I was emailed and was posted by the lock box, but no answer. There was a group a girls getting ready to leave and they messaged the guy on Whatsapp for us and he came by about 10 minutes later with our key. no big deal, the rest of the stay was great. He said he didn't answer my call as he didn't know who it was, but will answer whatsapp. He should answer both as we didn't have access to whatsapp yet since we didn't have the wifi password yet.

Five stars for the Palapa House
Posted Jul. 20, 2024 on HotelsThis was my fourth stay at the Palapa House. I lived in Belize for 18 years and had always recommended the Palapa House to family and friends. I since return every year to visit old friends. The grounds and pool have always been spotless, it's exceedingly private and the rooms are immaculate and well furnished. There is not an on site property office but a manager is available 24/7. Highly recommend.

Excellent air con. Smells bit moldy. Easy checkin/checkout process. This is very similar to an AirBnb.

We are a self catering vacation rental, as outlined in all of our communications and we're happy to hear you enjoyed the air conditioning and the check in/out process! We have the best possible ventilation and very strict protocols in place to keep any moisture/mold out of our units. However it is the Caribbean and depending on the time of year, the increased humidity requires consistent air conditioning and not leaving doors/windows open to avoid any issues. We are always available and happy to help with anything that arises during our guests stay, but are limited if we only find out after the fact. We hope you enjoyed your time in San Pedro and wish you all the best!

This property was in a perfect location!! Orlando was always available when needed and would check on us frequently. The place could use a gooooood cleaning. Ex- the bathroom tub/walls/area around toilet needs done “elbow grease” (smile) the knobs in kitchen kept falling off. The sofa being fabric holds odor and germs.
The floor could have been cleaned better but in all honesty we would stay again!!
There were plenty of towels, soap etc!
The internet went in and out but Orlando was there right away to troubleshoot!
The window in the bathroom allows someone to look into the bathroom if they are on the stairs next to the window! My suggestion would be a curtain for those that need just a lil more privacy
Again we would stay at the PH again!!!
