San Saba

Nice room. Used black light to check room for cleanliness and found it was clean. Close to downtown. 2 problems - no sugar for coffee, and car wash across street. I mean, who uses a robo wash at 2am??? (I used to live in San Saba, remember when car wash was Nall's store, and Wildflower Lodge was Nall's court) I would stay here again and recommend it.

As you mentioned, insects are a natural occurrence in the Texas Hill country, and despite our regular professional pest control treatments, daily inspections, and cleaning routines, there may be instances where bugs find their way inside, especially during periods of excessive heat. We do our best to minimize their presence and create a pest-free environment for our guests. Upon receiving your report, we immediately contacted our pest control expert to assess the situation and take appropriate measures. However, we regret that we couldn't assist you directly as you had already made alternative arrangements at that time. We genuinely value your feedback, as it helps us identify areas for improvement. We are constantly striving to enhance our services and facilities to ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests. We appreciate your understanding of the challenges posed by local wildlife and the proactive measures we take to address them. We would like to also add that you were on your way to our location a day early and requested an additional night less than two hours of check in. We didn't receive check-in information until we were on the road. That info should have been available before 6 a.m. for travelers. The wi-fi quit working apparently as more people logged into the network. Shower water was iffy, hard to regulate, the room was very close to the highway and noisy most of the night. The facility was clean! It would have been nice to have a mirror someplace besides the small bathroom!

Family Christmas.

I rented three rooms for my family to visit my grandmother for Christmas. This room was for my parents for two nights. The heater didn’t work. My parents tried calling and texting the number and couldn’t get a response. I was finally able to get in touch with Scott. He was perfectly fine to deal with. Sherri was very rude and very difficult. We found a dirty syringe in the bathroom on the cabinet. They did provide a space heater to use in the room because they couldn’t get anyone out there to look at the heater. I know that all bad reviews are blamed on the tenant because I’ve been looking at recent reviews. I rent from vrbo frequently and have never had such a bad time at a place. I will not stay here again. I highly recommend looking into other arrangements. This could be a very nice property but it is not taken care of.

We had to hunt for another room at 8:30pm

The room we reserved and paid for in advance was double booked, so when we went to check in, there were already bags inside the room. The manager said she was confused somehow about our reservation and apologized the next day. We had to hunt down other accommodations in the dead of night, which is not an easy thing to do in a small town with no available hotel space. After many texts, I got a refund. Advice: triple confirm your stay here.

There seems to be some confusion. Your reservation was for 1 night, then you added another night. I told you we were booked, I refunded your money, and I found you another location to stay 48 hours in advance . You told me to cancel everything. I did . Again, I refunded your money. I never gave you a code to get in the room, I never gave you a room number, and our conversation was over 48 hours prior to your arrival. Additionally, your reservation was for 1 person but apparently you had changed that number. You called me at 8:00pm asking for your room number and code at that time I repeated our conversation. I asked you why you did not stay at the other location. I communicate with my guests very clearly and i am not sure why this was not clear.

Pet and solo traveler friendly

My dog and I had a good overnight stay. Sherri and Scott were extremely responsive and helpful. We were comfortable and felt safe. Also, I appreciated the cute decor and hot water for the shower!

We love this little lodge! We travel to San Saba about once a month and have stayed at several places in town, this one is our favorite for our little family. Great price point, good amount of space, clean, and dead center of town. Also, the owner is very attentive. We had a question about something and she made sure that we were comfortable and that our needs were met. So glad that the Wildfllower is in San Saba!

Cute and homey

We loved our little house! It was close enough to town, so it made it convenient for going to the stores, restaurants and winery! We did the sip n stroll and had a blast!!! I would like to recommend a bigger trash can, and coffee filters (luckily i brought some). Otherwise, it was great! The samples of local coffee was a great touch!
