Hello, Our loss is not only for replacement of the BBQ. Which you mentioned looked like it was on “its last day” you used it as a charcoal grill, which destroyed the BBQ. And additional extensive professional cleaning to the cabin was needed. Please read the report we submitted to VRBO to claim the damages and extra cleaning. Our report to VRBO; “ This is our first time to file a claim against our guests’ security deposit. Unfortunately, our last guests used the cottage’s BBQ machine as a charcoal grill. As a result, the damages are listed in the following: • All the wiring in the BBQ was found melted • The grills where removed. • The parts where the grills used to be placed were full of ashes. Our guests who came the next day requested a BBQ machine - as their weekend food was all planned for BBQ. We had to get one for them immediately. As the report states – you left the cottage in an extreme mess and unsanitary condition. Which required 3 additional professional cleaners, to assist the cleaners originally hired. This has been documented by the cleaners and I myself. You requested no one to welcome you, or come to the cottage before you left. Though we accepted your request, it left us with no opportunity to show you how everything works and where to find the AC’s and fans. Had you asked us to bring you the charcoal grill, instead of using the BBQ, we would have gladly brought you one. If you call and ask for anything we always help and accommodate our guests. One phone call would have resolved everything you complained about. However, you chose not to call or meet with us. You said “we rent so much cabins this summer and never did we get bad reviews ” . That is not correct. Please see your previews reviews.
