Our Solar Powered property is approached by 1/4 mile of driveway lined with 25+ foot tall cypress trees. This 3bed/2bath home is about 300 feet from our Main Home.
It has a well equipped kitchen, whole house water filter, dining table for 6 people, WiFi, smart TV in living room and comfortable L shaped couch.
Super Comfy beds! King size bed in Master. Queen size in both other bedrooms. All have TV's with cable service.
Darts game. Corn Hole game and Foosball table in the Garage. Walking distance to wineries, 6 bicycles to use at no charge, etc...

Guest Access:
There is a beautiful pond on the property that our guests may enjoy during daylight. It has its own little beach and boat docked on it.
The water fall also acts as an aeration and filtration system for the Fish. ( Blue gill and Catfish,)
** Kids under 12 years of age, only allowed with responsible adult supervision.
** No swimming or entering the pond and boat allowed!

Interaction with Guests:
My wife Hilde and I enjoy a nice chat with our Guests, but will always provide and respect their peace and privacy.

The Neighborhood:
Ballard (Solvang), the center of the Santa Ynez Valley was the first town that settled here in the late 1800's!
Surrounded by vineyards, mountains, horse ranches, farms and schoolhouses, you feel as you have arrived in a time warp of sorts where simple pleasures, mossy oaks, grassy fields, and warm sunny days are found.
We feel so fortunate to live here, closely guard its quiet serenity and are grateful for all the beauty, amenities, world class wineries, restaurants, breweries, and shopping this Valley has to offer.
A Beautiful route to the charming towns of Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Solvang or Buellton takes only 5 to 10 minutes by car or make a loop and enjoy the scenery on our bicycles, provided to you at no charge!

A Little Slice of Paradise!
California Dreaming was the perfect place to stay for our visit to the Santa Ynez Valley. The home was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed.The location was ideal for traveling to the beautiful little towns of Solvang, Buellton, Ballard and Los Olivos and sampling lovely wines from the wineries we visited.California Dreaming is truly "a little slice of paradise" if you are heading to the Santa Ynez Valley.Enjoy!

We loved everything about our stay here - the house and area are truly perfection! Really smart layout and beautiful view. This home was the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in and had everything you could possibly need. The only thing we didn’t like was having to leave. Can’t wait to get back here!

Very comfortable home for our family of six. We spent the holidays here and had everything we needed to cook big meals at the house. The location is great! We enjoyed exploring Solvang during the Christmas week. It’s also an easy drive to Santa Barbara for day trips.The owner is super accommodating and even brought over kitchen tools for specialty baking.

Clean, well equipped, gorgeous scenery
My family had an amazing stay at Kris's property. We were so impressed by how clean and well-stocked Kris's place was - especially the kitchen. It was a peaceful, quiet location and the views were gorgeous overlooking the vineyards and hills. The grill was a great bonus and the spacious kitchen was perfect to cook in after a long, wonderful day of wine tasting. Our only wish is that we booked a longer stay!

Fantastic Getaway
We found this wonderful house looking for a getaway for my wife's birthday. The picture and description sparked our interest but when we saw the other photos we knew it was a good possibility for us. We did this almost at the last moment and all the other available houses were either more expensive or not nearly as nice so we went for it. The directions given were explicit but a bit different due to other properties along the driveway to this house. With the great directions I went to a map satellite program and saw exactly what Kris was saying and made the drive up the hill seem like I had already been there...very easy. We were thrilled with the property, the pond, and the house which was packed full of everything to make our stay wonderful. We will definitely have this property on our return list to the area, a great fine away from the busy areas and among some wonderful nearby shopping and wineries.

Awesome place to relax in open space
We were there for a weekend wedding, and our schedule was full for all three days. We did not get chance to enjoy the place. But it is a great place to stay with family and friend and relax next to vineyard. Beds were firm and comfortable (important for me), everything were clean and organized. Graduation fun and relaxation
We celebrated our son's college graduation with a BBQ. This home had all the amenities needed for our family to feel comfortable and to be able to cook a meal for 12 people. It is ideally located with surroundings and a great view. We even enjoyed fresh nectarines from trees in the garden that we added to our salad . Host was very friendly but gave us our privacy.

Life in wine country
If you ever wanted to get a sense of what it is like to live in wine country, this is the place. The views are beautiful. It's quiet, private, and a great house - love the open layout with the kitchen and living room. In the late afternoon/sunset time, we would relax on the back patio. There are some nice amenities as well. Highly recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. Located hilltop with a great view. Quiet and private, yet within 5-10 minutes of wineries, stores etc. Home had everything you needed for your stay. The owner Kris was great to work with. Would definitely stay and highly recommend to others.
