Un public étrange et bruyant !

L’hôtel est bien, plutôt confortable et on s’attend à un endroit plutôt luxueux. Mais l’hôtel accueillait une convention « secrète » de personnes habillées en manga ou personnages très étranges qui criaient beaucoup, la journée mais la nuit aussi. Je me suis rendu compte que certaines chambres étaient transformées en piscines à boules… imaginez les personnes (uniquement des adultes) qui étaient là, serrant des peluches dans leurs bras,.. L’hôtel aurait dû m’avertir ou bien ne pas louer des chambres à des personnes étrangères à ce groupe de personnes un peu perturbées. Mon séjour a été désagréable et j’ai dû me lever en pleine nuit pour demander à ces personnes de se calmer.

This property looks a lot nicer in pictures. They advertise valet in front of the lobby without having a designated area for check ins. The pool was ice cold on a 80 degree day and was murky with various insects and hair floating around. The cute lounge areas are very nice but they are highly stained. I was able to find some towels to throw on top of them. When pulling back the sheets we found an eyelash and something else that was either a thread or insect leg. I’m really hoping it was a thread but it was questionable. Overall after booking this place for the adorable pool area but being disappointed, I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.

The bed was not comfortable and the toilet kept messing up. Housekeeping has to be requested a day prior.

Our usual stay in Santa Cruz

I have stayed at Hotel Paradox probably about 10 times over the past few years. The first time we stayed, we thought it was a very elegant hotel, each time since then the experience has been a little downgraded. They used to have robes for the guests to wear to the pool, they don’t anymore. Some of the lights in the room were not working right. The Pool area was rebuilt a few years ago, but they did a poor job with the lounge chairs. When the material was new, it looked fabulous now it looks stained and dirty. We still like the hotel And will probably stay there again, but it went from five stars to four stars for us.
