Our Santa Cruz Haven
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur three-household family gathers every August for several days in a nice vacation spot. In the past, we reserved a large cabin at Lake Tahoe. This year, we decided to spend a week near beaches in Santa Cruz. The house on W. Cliff Drive was perfect for us. We'll have to do it again someday.

very disappointing
Publié le 16 août 2024 sur HomeAwaynot at all of what was on the website. the website stated on the beach it wasn't said tennis no such,from the upstairs balcony all you could see was an outdoor potty and big trucks, hammering all day. the worst was a kitchen upstairs which was never stated. CA has a disability act that must be disclosed and wasn't. Frankly I never heard of a kitchen upstairs. I never would have rented this property if I knew what was really there! carpets dirty and smelly. I give it a 1

Our website stated it is a beach house, which is true. You can see the ocean literally across the street. There is also walkable beach access in each direction nearby.
Yes, the view from upstairs is somewhat affected due to the street repairs below; this is a project that is scheduled to be completed soon. The kitchen is upstairs in a layout called a reverse floor plan, which is common in the area, so that views are maximized in the living space and not in the bedrooms. It is both stated in the description and shown in the photographs of the interior, including a photo of the staircase. We occasionally have someone read the property description and look at the photos and then ask about the configuration when renting to see if it is a fit for their group, at which point, we discuss it with them, so they can decide. You did not make any inquiry about the layout. The carpets are professionally cleaned on a regular basis. I am sorry you were disappointed with your choice.

Birthday Celebration with extended family

I’m glad you thought the property was very nice.
The widows get cleaned regularly, although being right across from the beach means that the windows can be quickly affected by the salt air and spray from the ocean.
The construction on the cliffs across the street to address prior years’ storm damage was scheduled to finish in January 2024, and unfortunately has not been completed. I am sorry it was an inconvenience.

Accommodating host and amazing location

I goofed on the registration and the host bent over backwards to accommodate our party. Extremely clean, great fenced yards

Spring Break 2024

Epic location for beautiful walks along West Cliff, and location perfect to explore all of Santa Cruz. Dog friendly a huge plus for our fur baby. Great communication, house well stocked with everything we needed and nice and clean. We would love to return to entertain friends and family. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations, gem of a house.
