Cozy Magical Santa Fe Cottage

It sounds like you had a wonderful time in Santa Fe despite the roof leak! It’s a shame that happened, especially in the middle of the night—it can definitely be a bit disruptive. Was it a big issue, or did the cottage management take care of it right away? Hopefully, it didn’t take away too much from the charm of the place!

Pain in Santa Fe
Publié le 18 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayAs my husband and I opened the gate to apartment 4, I was looking toward the courtyard / apartment. I walked toward entrance and fell on stone. There is a one-step drop that is not marked in any way. I took pictures which verify the situation. I am injured and seeking medical help. Both knees, my forehead, were injured and my prescription glasses are damaged. This is a result of the dangerous. Condition of the one step entry. There was no indication of a step…no paint on the edge, no silver material to indicate the change is there. I had to severely limit activities in Santa Fe due to swollen knees and injuries caused by your rental. I have an appointment on Tuesday for X-rays and doctor examination. One rule of building and architecture is NEVER have a one step change in the walking surface. As my photos show, the stone does not indicate that there is a step. It looks like a flat entry. I am still having limited mobility. I will contact you again with more damages. Charlene Bieker

Nice place but…
Publié le 1 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayLocation is great, clean and surprisingly quiet. Our only issue was that the bathroom sink clogged within a couple of hours into our stay. Called it in and they responded quickly, apparently there had been an issue with it before our stay.Plumber could not repair it. Otherwise it would have been a perfect trip.

I am so sorry you had to deal with the clogged sink during your stay, that is absolutely not up to our standards and was terrible timing. We had most of the plumbing redone this summer so this was very frustrating. The plumbers have since fixed the issue, but sadly not before you checked out.

Great property

The bathroom sink did not drain from the moment we got there.
The property manager did send someone the next day, but they were not able to fix it.
We were assured it would be fixed as soon as possible,but it never was.
Now for the good news.
The bed was comfy,furnishings were beautiful,amazing location, and an authentic feel.

Great Stay, it felt like Home

The PM & the owner were very understanding & flexible w/my husband & I about my inability to travel. I was not happy that I was unable to make my trip but really appreciated the kindness & warmth shown to us! I will be looking for this property the next time I go to Santa Fe!

Funky cool

What I liked: LOCATION. It really IS in a great location. Took me eleven minutes to walk to the Plaza. You can walk everywhere easily. It's also very private. Loved the old adobe/pueblo architecture. They've decorated it nicely, with some actual really cool artwork inside, and at night you can dim most of the lights (lighting is important to me). Loved having a kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a smart tv. With the Pandora app on the TV I listened to great stuff the whole time.
Here are my mostly minor issues: I did have a cleaning request with one specific area, but after I called them, they took care of that on my second day. Yes, there were some bugs, but it wasn't overrun with them and it is a really old property, and it's in the desert, so I didn't have a huge problem with it. Also, being that it is such an old property, certain areas could really use some work, but the nightly cost of the place is pretty good, so I felt I really couldn't expect the Taj Mahal. The one thing that was really a bummer was that the living room and bedroom are cave dark during daylight hours. In the day you will have to turn lights on in those rooms. But this was also only a problem for me in the morning, because I was pretty much gone during most of the day.
So to sum up, I thought it was a cute, funky place, and enjoyed staying there. I'd like more natural light during the day, but hey, nothing's perfect.

Dusty and Dark

It was extremely dusty, there were huge cobwebs and dead bugs stretching across the last window in the kitchen. It seemed like no one cared about this property.
The bed was terrible, and the quality of sheets were poor. The flat bugs were everywhere including on us when we were sleeping.
The patio outside could be lovely. However, we were surrounded by dead plants, and mice, which came out to visit regularly.
We were disappointed with our accommodations.
