It is located in the south-central part of the island, in the volcanic caldera of Tirajana - a paradise for excursions, climbing, road cycling or simply going for a walk among olive and palm trees. In its vicinity there are several exits of hiking trails, which pass through some of the most beautiful places on the island.The town is an idyllic place, with old stone houses from the last century, the authentic lifestyle (Website hidden by Airbnb ) house is located in the small town of Santa Lucia de Tirjana (in the heart of the island 40 minutes by car from the southern beaches and 50 minutes from the capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria). It is on the outskirts of the town center. In it, there are 4 restaurants that serve delicious (Website hidden by Airbnb) bakery of artisanal wood-fired bread, inviting you to eat it warm before arriving home. There are 3 small grocery stores with all the basic products, a pharmacy and A bank with an ATM. On Sunday mornings they set up a small agricultural market where we can find freshly picked vegetables and fruits. There is a bus stop that allows you to go to Vecindario, Aguimes and San Bartolomé de Tirajana, 500m from the house. The construction of the house is typical of the rural mountain area, with thick exposed stone walls, on one floor. The house is part of a set of 4 independent houses integrated in an old Canarian building or mansion called El (Website hidden by Airbnb) housing is composed of a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen and a large living room dining room with a (Website hidden by Airbnb) terrace allows us to enjoy the outdoor environment in a relaxed atmosphere. It has a pool and barbecue area shared with the other three houses in the complex, to enjoy a great meal in the open air.Gran Canaria is not only a vacation spot for the summer, but all seasons are ideal for excursions and see Gran Canaria. Beautiful cottage, wonderfully friendly village.
Beautifully restored cottage on edge of very friendly village (we were given oranges, straight from their trees, THREE times!). Comfortable inside, roof top terrace and nice shared pool across the deserted private lane. Santa Lucia is the friendliest, prettiest village, with local bakeries, shops and restaurants, all very reasonably priced! We LOVED it!

Living in the village of Santa Lucia
The property was quite convenient for us given we were staying for 2 months. Once we got into the rhythm of the opening/closing hours of the 2 bakeries, 2 bars, 3 restaurants and 2 supermarkets we were able to enjoy all there was. The house is up hill from everything but we found several trails through the town. It is very quiet in the town. The house had a really clean big pool and lovely huge shared common garden where we picked lemons, oranges and avocadoes.Since there were no basic supplies in the house and we would be doing a lot of cooking we bought the basics most kitchens/cooks need like salt and pepper and so forth. Thankfully the owner provided the right size paper filters for the small coffee machine.With only one small cutting board for example, I asked for another one and it was provided very quickly. When the wind was less strong, the roof top loungers were great. It was cool while we were there so we used the portable heaters and the extra blankets. This area is full of hiking opportunities and we walked/hiked almost every 2 days. We ate regularly and very well at the el Mirador restaurant and the 2 brother owners served us well. This town is on the route of major bicyclists so you will see them every day on the main road or sitting taking a break in the various bars on the main road.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Das Umfeld könnte etwas angenehmer sein. Die Dachterrasse ist klasse, der Blick auf die Berge wunderschön, nur die umliegenden Grundstücke sind nicht so toll. Der Ort ist ursprünglich und sehr gepflegt, die Menschen alle freundlich. Die Restaurants sind empfehlenswert. Alles in allem waren wir froh nicht in den Hotelhochburgen gelandet zu sein.

Sehr ruhig an einer Sackgasse gelegen mit schönem seitlichen Blick in die Berge. Sehr großer Wohnraum. Nette Schlafzimmer. Küchenausstattung ausreichend. Dachterasse für Sonnenanbeter. Pool ok. Dusche geht so .

Very nice tranquil place to stay Great views from the roof nice pool area. There are good local shops the one opposite exit road is excellent so is the Bakery. There are so many places to visit Mountains Beaches . Nice first visit to island we really like Puerto Mogan .

Vi hyrde huset i 23 nätter och trivdes jättebra, Vårt mål var att cykla och vandra, Den enda negativa var internet uppkopplingen. Första veckan hade vi för avsikt att arbeta på distans men internetuppkopplingen var helt värdelös, så vi fick koppla upp oss med våra egna mobiler. Robert och Carina
