Villa of tombolo S. Lorenzo della Costa is a luxury, romantic and charming property.
Built in 1700 as a summer residence of the Bozano Gandolfi Family, the Villa is located in the middle of a private beautiful park in an enchanting position overlooking the Gulf of Tigullio, surrounded by olive trees overlooking Portofino National Park. Ideal for a peaceful family vacation on the Ligurian Riviera, relaxing in the garden, reading books ... or walking and hiking all around ...
Our guests will enjoy the quality of refined and elegant Villa style of life, quite and relaxed typical of the eighteenth-century Italian vacation, supported by modern comfort ..... See you there!
The apartment
The apartment is at the garden floor of the entire Villa and it is fully independent and has a private exclusive garden with wood pergola surrounded by olive trees. The entrance only (the ancient gate you can see in the photos) is shared with the others two apartments of the Villa (second and third floor). These apartments belong to my family as well, and they have a dedicated private garden upper level.
Entire private and exclusive large lower garden (you do not have to share it with second and third floor of the Villa) with lawn and wooden pergola, surrounded by olive trees, equipped with oudoor table set and a couple of deckchairs.
A lovely apartment ideal for a group of 4 people, we find a bright and spacious living-room with large windows overlooking the typical Mediterranean landscape, and a big kitchen fully equipped with washing machine, cooker (with 4 gas flames), a big fridge , a breakfast table with chairs and a small pantry.
We have a comfortable sofa, armchairs, a very large dinner table and free wi-fi: a cozy home where working even on holiday could be a pleasure.
In the apartment we have two bedrooms: a double bedroom with a queen-size bed, a twin bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom has been recently completely renovated, with bath / alternate shower.
There is no air conditioning, but actually it is not needed, really, due to the considerable thickness of the ancient walls which release the cool in summer and the heat in winter. In hottest days it is sufficient to create an air flow opening opposite windows and the main door leading into the garden and the place will be soon cool and pleasant.
The shaded garden, then, will always offer refreshment and quietness and you can find an outdoor table set and a couple of deck chairs.
The property is surrounded by a private panoramic large garden providing sunny and shaded areas, where everybody can enjoy breakfasts, lunches or dinners and where it's nice indulging at sunset tasting a glass of delicious wine with focaccia.
You can walk from the house to the sea (less than thirty minutes), just a short walk along a quiet tree shaded stepped footpath to the famous village of Santa Margherita, where you will find best beaches, seaside promenade, restaurants and typical shops and fashion boutiques.
If you prefer, a regular bus shuttle service (bus stop is near by the Villa) is available: you will get to the beach in ten minutes, through a very panoramic route.
This property is ideal point for daily excursions on foot, by boat or by train all around the West Ligurian Riviera (Portofino, Camogli, Cinque Terre). In thirty minutes you can reach the railway station of Santa Margherita Ligure and the most important hiking trails.
Near by the house you can find a coffe bar, a little food market, a Pizzeria and a Restaurant next to the church, as you can see on map.
