This hotel was a 9/10. It was quiet (minus the airplanes landing nearby), clean (for the most part, shower glass had water stains and didn't seem clean), and peaceful. My stay was everything I needed to celebrate my 50th birthday. My room was upgraded to a junior suite and I loved it. I had a large balcony with a beautiful view of the pool and the ocean. I ordered room service twice and both times the staff was efficient and attentive. Sunday brunch was delicious. Car service was readily available. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave this a 9 was because I had a massage during my stay and it was not pleasant. The young lady did not massage well at all. The oil was cold and so was the room. I had to ask her to warm up the room several times and she did so. Overall, I had a great stay here and will definitely be back.

The hotel is small but nice and clean. The staff is friendly, but management needs to work on better training to improve customer service for their wait staff in the pool area and Cayeye restaurant. The service was terrible. Everytime I needed something I had to go and order directly at the bar, including chasing the staff around or go myself to the bar dor evey little thing, even to pay my bill. They bring the food and hurry to leave before we could check whether we needed something else or if something was missing. I was looking forward to relaxing at the pool and being able to order some food and drinks for me and my family. But instead, I had to be in the lookout for the staff to be able to order every little thing like water, salt, ketchup and even to go and sign my invoice. The pool and restaurant were not crowded, so it’s not a matter of capacity… they are just clearly not trained for this job. They walk around without looking whether any guest wants something… they just don’t look and pretend not to care. Instead they kept chitchatting among themselves around the bar. Other than that, the hotel is nice and a good place to spend the weekend.

Always happy to be at the hotel. I recommend that to any one who is looking for quiet couples days after few years coming to this hotel I should say it’s about the time to get the menu changed more vegetables on the menu will be really a plus a healthy food options are missing hope for our next stays it will be there anyway I will go back each time I like to rest away from the stressing days I am having in London

This property has an excellent location, beach, amenities, food, etc, is top of the line, but the must important value is the human, I have no complaints about anyone, what a great staff !!! to name just some off them, Maria Jose, Angelo, Genesis, Jesus, Oscar, every front desk employees, thank you very much to all of Marriott Playa Dormida Santa Marta staff for this wonderful experience! My wife, daughter and I, will miss you!

A beautiful property managed by dedicated employees. The food was exceptional 10/10 always consistent and delicious. Highly recommend.
