Tired, tiny and unattractive apartment
Publié le 9 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayChecking in was very difficult. Jose does not speak English. He never made himself available to let us in the building. We were let in by another guest staying in a different apartment. There was one piece of furniture to sit on other than the folding chairs at the kitchen table was a tiny loveseat covered by a ragged slipcover. Couch pillows were old. Beds need mattress pads.
The only way to get privacy or reduce the noise was to close the shutters completely, and then the apartment would heat up as there was no air conditioning. Suggest some form of curtains. The accurate part of the VRBO description of the apartment was its location in the historic part of town which was wonderful. Unfortunately, there is a disco across the tiny street which opens at 11 pm and stays open till 3 am.
The saving grace is that there is a fabulous coffee shop on the ground floor that became our hangout as the apartment was so dingy and small. The person responsible for cleaning the apartment was very nice and helpful when we needed anything.

Publié le 28 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayVam arribar i l'apartament estava ocupat. Ens vam haver de conformar amb un altre d'inferior qualitat. Havíem pagat per endavant. No vam recuperar ni un cèntim. Hi ha una picaresca: et mostren un pis molt bo però acabes en un pis molt senzill. Vrbo hauria de vigilar però no ho fa. Sí necessiten més informació, a disposar.

Owner cancelled 4 hours before we were do to move in.

We called and the person who answered suggested we check WhatsApp. No messages on WhatsApp. We contacted VRBO support, who were very good and tried to contact the owner. The owner immediately cancelled the reservation and emailed us that he would refund our deposit. Fortunately we were able to secure alternate accommodation at a local hotel. Not able to rate Cleanliness, etc as we never got to see the property ( so just put a 1 star).
