Struttura bellissima storica, ottima posizione belle camere .per quanto riguarda la manutenzione zero, vetri sporchi, tempi x la colazione molto lunghi. poi abbiamo chiesto di telefonare alla reception e ci e' stato risposto che non avevano il telefono per chiamare e non avevano le tessere a pagamento x telefonare. servizio pessimo.

Great terrace

A Rollicking Time in the Heart of Santiago.
Publié le 27 févr. 2020 sur HotelsThis is a beautiful old hotel in the heart of Santiago de Cuba. The hotel is in excellent condition and is well maintained. The service from hotel staff was excellent as well. There was a significant downside. Being in the heart of the city, it was very noisy and the walls and windows do little to keep out the noise when it's time to sleep. Cubans seem to start early and party until quite late. Also, being right next to the cathedral, the bell chimes for each hour and half hour. Sometimes, it felt like those bells were in our room. A tip for other travellers: ask for a room facing Parque Cespedes, and not facing La Case de la Trova. Also, bring earplugs.

Good location and beautiful looking building, needs urgently a personnel retraining, all with attitude and unwilling to serve you unless you bribe them.

Granda Expectations Massive Disappointment
Publié le 22 nov. 2019 sur HotelsThis hotel is as good as it looks in the pictures, but only from the outside!!. The rooms however are in need of freshening up, especially the bathrooms. The breakfast was shocking. In contrast to breakfast in the Casas Particulares the fruit was from cans, the juice from a box and the jams from tubs.
The Monday parties are loud and continue well past midnight which makes sleeping difficult. It was announced during our visit that these parties will also take place on Wednesdays in the future. Public access to the hotel seems uncontrolled which feels rather uncomfortable. The location is indeed top notch, but we wouldn't recommend this hotel.

We acknowledge that our hotel needs remodeling, which we have have planned in a close future.
