Underwhelming and meh

I checked in to find a card on my bed asking for a tip. Bad first impression I have to say. I am not opposed to tipping but there has to be a service done. Why would you just ask for money when you literally haven’t done anything? Leave a water bottle or something at least. The room was the size of a closet and the fan/ac unit did not work. At least the front desk wasn’t bad. The girl working was nice. Silver lining right?

It is a good, safe, medium-sized hotel in an interesting neighborhood. Plus it is close to the subway. The staff are the best part of the hotel. They are polite, friendly, efficient and reliable. They work very hard for the guests. They also speak excellent English. The staff are the best feature of this hotel. Shoutouts to Rodrigo and Oliver who were so helpful and worked do hard.
