Bathroom was dirty, the pillows were smelling terrible. I was on the executive room and I can tell you this place needs an upgrade bad. I had other issues but management took action and fixed them. Like air conditioning, parking etc. I think this place needs a manager with a vision and quality mentality.

Overall,having stay at hundreds of hotels in the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo,Punta Cana,Puerto Plata,etc.) Dominican Fiesta Hotel was a treat. I am an avid swimmer and a competitive tennis player and nedless to say this hotel packs both. Six tennis courts (asphalt and clay) and an Olympic pool was a dream come true. The green space surrounding the facility coupled with the friendly staff made my stay better than any others while in Santo Domingo. I love their huge lobby,so much space and so well decorated for the Christmas holiday,was beautiful. On a lighter note,getting to city center during the day is dreadful because of traffic. It would help also if the bar staff at the lobby was aware of happy hour on the 8th floor for Expedia member. I did received a letter under the door informing me of the activity but a young lady at the bar decided that I was not eligible. The following day,Jeffrey at reception clarified my status and I was able to join this daily event. Thank you Jeffrey for your professional guidance.

They need to trust more the clients when the client stated in the receptionist that “this reservation is already pay by me using Expedia”and do not put the client on waiting for hours at the hotel lobby until they receive by email the Expedia’s confirmation.Thanks!

The overall rating I gave is not for the hotel. It is for Expedia. I was totally ripped off with this booking. Unlike other booking services who prepopulate the date with today's date, Expedia used today's date in the following month. I didn't notice the difference. The hotel staff tried for two hours to fix this with them and they didn't respond. The Expedia info tries to blame this situation on the Hotel but that is a lie. The online "solution" was to cancel my reservation with no refund and and give me a new reservation at 3 times the price since there were no more cheap rooms. The Hotel ended up giving me a room at slightly more than the one I paid for and I lost teh money I paid to Expedia. I will never use Expedia again as long as I live!
