Just a week off
Publié le 12 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe came to Saranac Lake to check out the Adirondacks. It is a beautiful area. The Cabin is great for kicking back and soaking in the surroundings. We brought a boat with fishing in mind. Not such a good idea.
Oh! the cabin advertisement indicated that it was "Blue" . Well, that's only half true. Like I said, we brought a boat so we could leave from the Cabin and fish. But, if one arrives at the cabin by water, it is brown, not blue.
It rains on us for 3 days, but we still hadfun.

The View
Publié le 25 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayStunning location, cute cottage, but stairway so treacherous, we (aged 78 and 82)slept downstairs on single beds in extra bedroom. Bathroom, especially shower, was bare minimum.

Great location, beautiful lake
Publié le 5 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe lake is gorgeous and the location was perfect -- secluded and private but also convenient to town. We were very comfortable at the cabin (even when it got down to 40 degrees one night) and would certainly go back.
During our stay especially enjoyed the walking trail in the woods where the house is located, kayaking and swimming in the lake, and hearing the calls of loons in the evenings.

Beautiful location
Publié le 1 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house is in a beautiful location, with a great deck and dock for viewing the lake and mountains. There are a lot of steps to get down to the dock, but once there it is a great location to sit and relax, swim, paddle or fish. The house itself is very comfortable, with the loft bedroom having particularly fantastic views. The steps up to the loft are very steep, almost ladder-like. Saranac Village is a short drive, making it easy to go into town for shopping or eating. We had a great week here with the only drawbacks being the amount of boat traffic and the very small shower (if you’re taller than 5’5” you’ll have to bend over to get your head under the shower head), but overall a lovely location in the Adirondacks.

Beautiful spot!
Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HomeAwayA beautiful spot for enjoying the Adirondacks! Loved the small, cozy, comfortable cabin. Loved using the kayaks to paddle with the loons at sunset. Just a heads up - there are a lot of stairs down to lake edge and steep ladder up to sleeping loft. Both fine for us, but something others may need to consider. It's a peaceful spot, but be aware that there is a lot of boat traffic back and forth in front of the cabin -- it's a through-way between bigger lakes. That was the only downside for us. Early morning and late evening were quiet. Great location!

Lovely views
Publié le 3 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayNice, quiet cabin with lovely view of the lake and mountains. The cabin has everything you need for a couple or small family. No potable water but plenty of bottled water for drinking and cooking. The shower was small (we are both tall) but we knew that going in. Lots of boat traffic on the lake but we enjoyed kayaking and spotted an eagle not far from the cabin.
