Moose Cabin
Publié le 28 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was great. The cabin had everything that you could want.Colby lake was great for fishing. The only problem was the property was too close to RT 86. It certainly was not a quiet location. The light from the electric company on Rt 86 came on at 6:30 and were on all night.

We appreciate our guests’ feedback. There is no electric company on Route 86 but a medical center is .4 miles from the cabins and they light their facility at night.
Our cabins are not remotely located but are on a Lake less than 5 minutes from downtown Saranac Lake and Lake Flower. At Colby Cabins, one can enjoy access to trails and many local amenities while also having the experience of enjoying the lake from morning to evening with loon calls, firepits and beautiful sunsets.

Prewedding weekend
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayAmazing cottage, wonderful views, listened to a loon every morning. Would definitely return. Close to Lake Placid to finalize wedding plans. Actually bought an oil painting of the rowboat by a dock that reminded us of our view and stay.

We have our canoes, kayaks and rowboats primed for use by Memorial Day when temperatures are safe for boat use. We apologize for any misunderstanding with the boat availability.

Wonderful lakeside cabin

The picture window overlooking the lake is a glorious way to start a morning, and the deck and fire pit are wonderful ways to take in the lake in a quiet setting. We also enjoyed the beach a short walk away. The location is great- a mile or so outside of town and close to hiking trails. The kitchen was clean and fully outfitted to cook, and we took advantage of that a lot. We’d happily stay again.

An Adirondack gem
Publié le 19 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayLoved everything about this spot. The cabin was warm, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We were able to ride our snowmobiles across Lake Colby to the trail. Great accommodations, gorgeous kitchen, and beautiful views through the huge picture windows. Will definitely book again.

Peaceful Getaway
Publié le 8 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was just right…all the supplies you need, all the comfort you need, and all the activities to keep the family entertained. We loved being able to just step outside and enjoy the lake, whether fishing, boating, reading a book in the hammock, or a chilly night time fire. All of the necessities are within a 7-minute drive (groceries, pharmacy supplies, restaurants, gas, etc.), and in just a short 20-minute drive, you can be in Lake Placid. The owners were responsive to our questions and proved clear instructions for check-in and out, as well as clear instructions for how to use everything in the cabin and to access local resources. Would definitely stay again!
