Location is inaccurate
Publié le 14 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayI stayed in the condo with my husband and two toddlers. The positives: the interior of the condo is lovely and exactly as described and the swimming pool is a few steps out the back patio. The complex also has strong, reliable wifi.
The negatives: the condo is not in Playa Hermosa. It is 20 minutes south in the town of Playa Del Coco. It is not on the beach in Coco either. It is a half mile (20 minute walk from the beach). After booking the condo, the property manager Special Places of Costa Rica sent me dozens of spam emails trying to sell additional items (tours, private chef, beach club access etc). One of those has the correct location of the condo. However, Special Places asks you to download and use their app which has a map showing the location as ON THE BEACH in Coco. We got very lost and were pretty disappointed by the distance of the actual complex. But don't worry, they will charge you $25 per person per day for shuttle service or $40 per day for a golf cart rental.
The app also notes that the complex has items available for children - air bed, crib, and high chair. I requested these items and they were not available. The materials also say that there is a playground. It is on top of the mountain in the residential area of the complex - very far away. Basically - ignore the app and do not use it. Nothing but bad info.
There are gas powered leaf blowers going all day long - very loud and annoying.

Thank you for your detailed review. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the condo’s interior, the swimming pool, and the reliable wifi. We are sorry that the location and some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We understand the frustration with the location, though the property was pinned correctly on the reservation platform, the pin, in the digital guidebook was off. The description of the property did mention several times it is located in Playa del Coco, and nowhere is it listed that it is beachfront. It is totally understandable that this must have caused some confusion. We have updated our property in the guidebook to ensure that the map PIN accurately reflects the condo’s location.
Regarding the amenities for children, it’s essential to coordinate these details in advance due to high demand. Please note that transportation to the club is complimentary, and the $25 charge is for access to the club facilities, which are consumable. We share extensive information online and in the guidebook, about the Pacifico development and its amenities, for a guest to review. Additionally, the playground information provided at check-in has always specified that it is located away from the condo area. Thank you again for your feedback. Playa Del Coco 2023

The beach club was well worth the money as well and not something we had planned until our arrival. Playa del coco is an amazing little town with very nice people. I look forward to seeing it again soon.

Three generations

The condo was super convenient and being on the bottom floor, such easy access to the pool, we had a blast! Special Places offered solutions to every need we had! Great people, great climate and a wonderful first time experience of CR!!!

Great Getaway!

This time of year is relatively quiet at the beach, the weather was perfect, not too hot, and the accommodations were wonderful, clean, comfortable and beautiful. I loved that it was on the ground floor pool side. We couldn’t ask for more!
The only issue is that this is not on Playa Hermosa, or a one minute walk to Playa Hermosa as stated in the description. It is in the town of Coco.

Four days of paradise
Publié le 4 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe loved our stay here! It was so clean and well appointed. Having the pool at our doorstep was awesome, especially since it was so hot when we were here. The condo was beautiful and a terrific place to relax in the evening after a day at the beach.
Kevin and Marisol were so helpful when we had questions, and so pleasant to deal with.
Having access to the Pacifico Beach resort was excellent. The $25 per person entry fee that you get back in food and drink credits was a no brainer for us! The beach directly at the resort disappeared during high tide, but it was a short walk to get to a better spot. Having towel service and lounge chairs as well as good and drink was heavenly. Jose and Wendy were amazing and so friendly.
If you stay here (you should!) Be sure to try Big Fingers coffee across the road from the Pacifico complex. The food and coffee were superb and the staff so, so friendly!
When we come back to Costa Rica we will be sure to stay here again!

The attention to detail the owner has put into making your stay comfortable is the best! The furnishings and decor are beautiful! Very neat and clean. The condo is well stocked for all of your stays needs be it in the kitchen, for your outings, at the pool, etc. It is a very social location right next to the pool and all of it's action. It's an easy walk to the grocery store and town for eating and shopping. I highly recommend this unit and our family hopes to return in the near future!
