Great location
This property is in a great location - I would highly recommend it to anyone. The pics are accurate. Playa Hermosa is a great beach - we liked it more than Playa Coco and it's easy to get to. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of this place, all of them delicious and convenient. The property is nice - well appointed, air conditioning and fans, kitchen supplies, etc. That said, do not do your laundry here. The listing says laundry and when we inquired about it, the property assistant did some for us - we would've been happy to do our own. On the last day of our stay, the owner told us it cost $15. Yes, $15 for one small load of laundry - and we were not informed that there would be a cost at all! The rest of the stay was good.

Lina’s casita in Playa Hermosa is absolutely incredible!
My stay at this property was nothing short of perfect. Situated close to the beach, it offers a hassle free location and within walking distance of several fantastic restaurants. Grocery stores are conveniently nearby, and it’s just a short drive from Liberia Airport. The property itself is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and provides a private, secluded retreat. I can’t recommend this place enough – it truly exceeded all my expectations!

The only bad thing that I can say about this rental is that I only had one night in it. It is amazing and Lina was wonderful. I cannot wait to come back and have a longer stay. The beach is so close and is just amazingly peaceful.

Perfect spot in Playa Hermosa
This cottage was so cute and perfect for our needs. We felt very safe. It was well equipped and I'm sure that if we needed anything, Lina was on the property and easily reached. There's a path that takes you right to the beach and you can hear the surf. We hope to come back one day.

Casita by Lina Marvelous
We booked this cute little casita which sits on a gorgeous piece of beachfront with lots of privacy for 8 days (though you do share the soace w main house). We loved our stay. It doesn’t have a beach view, but you can hear the ocean it is so close. The beach is stellar and the distance to beach is an easy walk merely 2 minutes or less to water and once there the views and breeze are outstanding. We felt safe, secure and really enjoyed the nice covered porch (with the beach chairs and towels provided) and the walking access to about 6 good restaurants up and down the beach (about 3/4 mile to furthest one each way). The beach has lots of shells and the water is lovely, but does have a small strip of gravelly section you cross to get into the water—still fine w bare feet!! Once you cross gravelly strip, it is all sand as far as I went out. The beach also offers great shaded areas to stay out of the sun and has very few people on it most pf the weekdays and even the weekend was light use. Lina is an excellent host and has put many thoughtful touches into the cabin. The place has a good kitchen well equipped, a comfortable bed and even some pay-per-bottle wine available if you wish. The porch has great relaxing furniture, nice ceiling fans and even a hammock for use when it rains or you just want to get out of the sun. We definitely want to return! We felt it was an exceptional value. You will probably want to rent a scooter or car but taxi service was available.

La Casita in the fall
Playa Hermosa in the fall is a beautiful place to relax and take a break from the hecticness of life. La Casita is a beautiful 'cottage' only steps from the ocean! Restaurants and massages are steps from the beach! Lina and Carol are perfect host and manager who made sure that everything we wanted and needed was available! Birds,tropical hermit tree crabs, howler monkeys visit La Casita from time to time making it a nature lovers dream. The landscaping is parklike!

This place was my favorite stay in our whole trip to Costa Rica. The casita was very clean. It had everything we needed. Lina is very quick to respond to any messages which was nice because we weren’t exactly sure where to go and we got to town a little early. Her property is beautifully landscaped with trees and a private walkway straight to the beach. The beach is literally only steps away from the house. We walked down the beach and stopped at a couple bars for drinks. We ended our stay watching the sunset on the beach. We loved our stay here and were sad we had only booked it for one night. Definitely recommend staying here!

A perfect hideaway
We had a magical time here. A very short walk to the beach with an astounding view of the bay. The host and her assistant were so kind and very attentive. There are beach side restaurants 5 minutes away and it doesn't feel at all touristy. I strongly encourage anyone to check out this lovely guest house.

Relaxing!
Greet stay!! Beautiful Casita. The kitchen had everything you needed…could even buy a bottle of wine from the top shelf!!! Enjoy a glass of wine in the bathrobes provided & read a book in the hammock! Great location with a short walk to the beach. We wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this place!!

Wonderful Experience
Living in La Casita for a week is like having your own little home 140 steps from the sand of my favorite breach in the world. It is situated where the water is calmest and swimming is great even for kids. Small beach chairs are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped. A good sized grocery store is a fifteen minute walk away or you can have a taxi stop there or at the supermarket in Playa del Coco (just 3 km away) as part of a drive to a restaurant. Playa Hermosa has several good restaurants and at many you can dine next to the beach. The restaurants at Hotel Bosque Del Mar and at Villa Del Sueno are even a few steps closer to La Casita than the walk to the beach. The restaurant at the latter has excellent music on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays but reservations are advised. Lina is a warm and gracious host. We have stayed at four different hotels in Playa Hermosa over the years but if you want to feel like a local expat instead of a tourist, this is the place for you.

Owner didn't respond to early inquiry about the address. Had to ask locals where to go. Karol, the on site manager, was very nice and helpful. Access to beach is nice. Unit is dark inside and a bit cluttered. Could use an update. Was fine for one night stay.

Awesome stay! Exactly as shown
We were super happy with our stay at Lina's small guest house. Pictures show exactly what you get...clean, comfy, peaceful, and a close walk to the beach. We stayed 2 nights and loved the outdoor living space and beautiful beach right down the path. Lina was available for any questions or details & has a wealth of info. about Costa Rica. We walked down the beach to Roberto's for breakfast each morning-so yummy. Places for food and HH on the beach but not overcrowded. Small market close for simple groceries. I would recommend this property in a heartbeat-we really enjoyed our time there.
