Perfect for Extended Family

The home is conveniently located near the Sardis Lake recreational facilities and it is only about 15 minutes to downtown Batesville. My in-laws stayed with us also and there was plenty of room for everyone. The home was well appointed and had a lot of character

Very Nice Property
Publié le 7 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe really enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and well equiped for cooking etc... The only down side is I wish that the dock had been repaired so that we could have used it. Very close to the marina and spillway for fishing.

Space for all

Great cabin for friends fishing trip
Publié le 1 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cabin was located directly on the water. It was clean, updated, and very comfortable. Easy to get to. There are stairs to get to the main floor so if anyone has trouble with steps it could be an issue but I'd stay here again for sure.

Deceiving advertisement
Publié le 17 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were looking for Lakefront property. The property advertises as lakefront property. However, you don’t have access to the lake because the dock is dilapidated. We were not advised of this until we arrived. The entry stairs are loose and move Side to side as you woke up. We were advised to this when we were, checking in. The stairs need to be fixed before renting to anyone else. All in all the property provided all the comfort of home however I would not categorize It is lakefront property if you cannot enjoy the excess to the lake. If the stairs were fixed, and the dock is repaired, I would recommend this property to others.

Not what we expected

Cons - Dog/dogs next door barked incessantly, even at night. My parents left a day early because they could not take the barking. The house is not clean. Mold in both bathrooms. Ants, drain flys and stink bugs in bathroom. Stink bugs on my ceiling and in my bed. The parking area and entrance are awful. I was worried about my 74 year old parents climbing those stairs. The floor is warped and the house is much darker and smaller than what the pictures represent. The kitchen was tiny and extremely hard to cook in. We expect to stay in the area often in the future to visit family but we will not be staying here.

Sorry you did not have the experience you expected, while staying at my home. The neighbor next door fosters pets from time to time. She must have a new pet she is fostering short terms when you were there. I am sorry about the barking dog. Thank you for bringing to my attention your concerns about the condition of my home. I will pass the information on to the cleaning company, so they can be corrected immediately. If you had notified me, I would have had the problem addressed at once. We have pest control service once a quarter. With the weather turning cooler, it is not unusual to see a few insects coming in seeking a warmer environment. There are two entrances into the home, if the stairs from the carport did not work for you, you could have used the 5 or 6 steps on the water side of the home. The online pictures show a galley kitchen along with pictures of each room. After reviewing the pictures of the rooms online, they do not look larger than they are represented in the pictures. The pictures also show the amount of light coming into each room. I have not noticed warped floors, have no idea where that might be. However, I will have it checked out. Thank you for bringing these issues to my attention, so I can continue striving for future renters to have the best experience possible.
