Cezanne is one of four luxury holiday apartments at Maison Pierre D’Or, a traditional stone house on the edge of the medieval centre of Sarlat in the stunning Perigord Noir region of Dordogne in South West France.

Cezanne is the perfect base from which to explore the town and the surrounding countryside. It’s ideal for couples, and is within an easy 5 minute stroll into the medieval centre with its lively markets, bistros, picturesque squares and historic buildings.

The apartment faces south and is consequently bright and sunny. It has an inviting balcony which is very popular with guests who frequently take breakfast or lunch or an aperitif in the sunshine whilst enjoying the open view over Sarlat.

Attention has been paid to the details. The apartment has been furnished with oak furniture. There are quirky lamps and paintings by local artists, and a host of other personal touches, giving Cezanne its own unique character. The apartment features a bright, airy living room with separate dining area and a well equipped kitchenette. The bedroom has an exceptionally comfortable king size bed with fresh, crisp, cotton bedlinen and soft pillows. The bathroom has a walk in shower with hot water on tap and big, fluffy towels.

Oh, and there is free parking on site, and free WiFi (free high-speed Internet).

Nous avons été très bien reçus par des hôtes disponibles et charmants dans un appartement extrêmement bien tenu (les photos témoignent du soin apporté dans l'aménagement de ce T2). Un seul bémol lié à l'emplacement de l'appartement (7 min à pied du centre historique) : la présence en contre bas d'une rue passagère en ce début du mois d'août.

Maggie et son mari sont des hôtes adorables , l'appartement très soigné trés propre , trés lumineux et trés bien situé à proximité du centre historique de Sarlat , une des plus belles villes de France dans une des plus belles régions , la Dordogne. Nous avons apprécié les petites attentions de nos hôtes : bouteille de vin offert et produits pour la cuisine (café, thé, ...) et la place de parking , trés appréciable car il est difficile de se garer dans le centre ville , nous recommandons cette belle adresse.

Charming apartment in a great location
The locations and the hosts are 5 stars. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful and just delightful people. The location is great. You can walk into town for dinner and are conveniently located to get anywhere in the region. The apartment is charming, but small. It is on the second floor and was quite warm. We kept the curtains and shutters closed after 10:00 am due to the heat and none of windows have screens, so we kept them closed due to the mosquitos. What isn't in the pictures is the narrow spiral staircase up to the apartment. While it was okay for us, I think this needs to be mentioned as this would not be a good apartment for anyone with mobility issues.

The apartment was clean, convenient, well stocked and comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. We did find it to be a little hot in apt and in all honesty it was unusually hot in France. However due to mosquitoes we kept all the windows closed. We were supplied a fan.

Cozy Sarlat home
This cozy unit is one of 3 in a sweet building just north of Sarlat. The hosts occupy one of the other units and were on hand to welcome us and give us useful information about the area. It is well-equipped, close to a good grocery store, walking distance to the town and an easy drive to the river and sites we wanted to explore. We found it a perfect location for exploring the Dordogne valley. Our only complaint was weak wifi.
