Great Winter Getaway

This location is perfect -- it's close enough to walk to ALL the shops and restaurants downtown ( 5 min walk), but far enough that there's not the noise or the street traffic. The house itself was charming and we LOVED the Bose sound system. We appreciated the little touches, like the board games in the closet, well stocked coffee supplies, etc. Will definitely be back!

Perfect Christmas Getaway

The house was perfectly located - a v short walk to all the shops, restaurants and waterfront, yet totally peaceful and quiet. The house is old and full of character and charm. Lots of space and nicely proportioned rooms. It was especially great to have a full size dining room for Christmas lunch, as well as a large (and very well equipped!) eat-in kitchen. Logs on the fire kept the family cosy and warm and while the conservatory was a bit chilly in comparisonl, it was a great place for morning workouts! Overall, one of the nicest VRBO places we've stayed at, and a wonderful base from which to explore Saugatuck! Highly recommended!

Thank you for the very thoughtful review! Just finished building the dining room table this past fall, glad to hear it is being put to good use and enjoyed. As for the "conservatory" (possibly you are British??) we tend to just call it the back porch, surely a brisk room in the winter, good place to get the heart rate up with some morning calisthenics I am sure.: ) Very happy to hear Saugatuck made the grade and the Winslow house seemed to as well!!!

Saugatuck Weekend
Publié le 15 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy friends and I stayed here for a long weekend in December and absolutely loved it! The house is gorgeous, very clean, and a great place to hangout. The bedrooms and living room is cozy, and the kitchen was a great space for making meals. It’s conveniently located downtown, so you can walk to the shops and restaurants. Parking also was a breeze!

Wedding weekend
Publié le 27 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe stay was really nice. Loved the cute cottage that was semi-attChed to the main house. The home was much older than I had anticipated but quiant. The floors squeaked quite a bit so woke up others when getting up to use the bathroom or getting up earlier than others.

House was built in 1863. As robust as the house is it does have a few squeaks, think they are pretty much limited to the steps going up stairs, as I recall trying to sneak up the stairs as a kid coming home a bit after curfew.
