Girls Weekend
Publié le 20 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were a group of six middle age women that travel every other year since our mid 20's and we are always looking for a home that will be the main focus of our get-away since we want to sit around and eat and drink and reconnect. Along with that we like to have a nearby place to go do a little shopping and dining and maybe some fun touristy things. This place had it all!

Difficult host

They refused to communicate through the Vrbo app and wanted to communicate exclusively through separate email and hidden text to cover their tracks. The host was very unresponsive, and several of the amenities didn’t work. Even though they charge a hefty cleaning fee, we were still asked to strip the bed, take out the trash, and do the laundry before leaving promptly at 10am. Honestly, the place was only clean because of the previous guests.
The house itself was nice, but you can hear everything, and a lot of the furniture was broken. Some windows had missing or broken blinds, and the photos they posted are definitely outdated.
As for guest service, I was not able to get ahold of anyone until 10pm on our last night, and even then, the staff was unhelpful. The Wi-Fi never worked despite several attempts to fix it, and when we finally got a response from the host after 30 hours, they told us they were off duty until Monday.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place or Vacasa based on my experience.
I hope the home owner understands how poorly ran the property is.

Broken things
Publié le 9 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayHouse was nice for the most part. There were issues with the house that we weren’t aware of. The grill didn’t work so we had to alter dinner plans. Screens were installed wrong, doors didn’t shut properly. Just seemed like things were on the verge of falling apart.

Solid Stay

Broken screen, bed bugs, no communication
Publié le 1 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis stay started off decent. The screen on the front door was broken. Not a big deal because the front door wasn't going to be open at all as it was November. We dropped off our stuff inside after a long drive, went to dinner, got back sort of late so we hit the hot tub which was full of sand, went to bed. In the early morning hours my daughters found bed bugs in their bed. And there were more in the bathtub. We took pictures and sent them to the company. Gathered our stuff to head out. We didn't even stay 24 hours. I have been attempting to get some resolution from vacasa and have not heard anything back yet. Its been weeks. And I've had to reach out to them. They let me know (after we were gone and at approximately 5pm) that Orkin would be there between noon and 2 that day. The last I heard from them they were still "investigating". I 10/10 do NOT recommend this place. It has been a total hassel with no resolve. And it was supposed to be a relaxing weekend with my mother, sisters, and daughters.

Terrible experience
Publié le 26 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayGorgeous area, Door broke could not be locked total disregard for our safety hot tub quit working absolutely no reply from maintenamce or local management. Furniture falling apart some dining room chairs could not even be sat on Started calling half hour after arrival called multiple times in the 2 day time period. No concerns or issues were addressed

Dirty and poor customer service

Upon arrival to the house 2 of 4 beds had hairs all over the sheets, moldy vase of flowers, left over partially eaten food containers in cupboards. Company texts after arrival to check on status of house. I reported the dirty sheets etc, was told someone would contact me ASAP. Never heard from them again.
The location of the house is great, beautiful outdoor space. We still had a fun weekend even with the poor service and not very clean house

Hidden Dunes

Log cabin with style
