Dog Friendly Garden Home on Historic Huntingdon Street by Lucky Savannah

Nothing says Southern Comfort like enjoying the evening air with a glass of sweet tea on your front porch. Just a few blocks from Forsyth Park, this pet friendly home has everything you’ll need for a weekend getaway or longer, extended stay. This beautifully updated 1 bedroom home has a comfortable back porch, and all the amenities you need for a short stay or an extended vacation. This home features original hardwood floors, a huge bathroom with shower, and an amazing designer kitchen.

The large, modern living room has two French doors that let in plenty of natural light, and lead to the front porch. Decorated with local art, the large flat-screen TV is set upon an easel and can be seen from anywhere in the room. Pocket doors lead into the eat-in kitchen. The large island and stainless steel appliances make cooking a pleasure. Enjoy a quick meal at the breakfast bar or an intimate dinner at your private table for two. Just off the kitchen is the renovated full bath, which has a large vanity and a shower with a built-in seat.

The King bed is perfect for curling up in after a long day of exploring Savannah. The large closet provides plenty of space to unpack and settle in, and includes the convenience of a stackable washer and dryer.

This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. Excellent space and location
Great location and the space was perfect for two people! Very nicely laid out, perfect outside seating area! Communication was ok, but a bit of a hiccup at check-in (maybe some on my side for not asking the right question) -but quickly resolved and overall was a wonderful stay and would certainly recommend!

Excellent dog friendly house
We had an incredible time here. I grew up and lived in Savannah for 22 years but moved away, and my wife and I were looking for an easy place to stay downtown and bring our dog along. This place was more than enough for us, and had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. We walked everywhere from the front door, including getting down to River Street. Very dog friendly place with gates at the front and back of the property. Private garden courtyard was very nice to have as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a central place to stay!

Charming cottage
We chose Southern Comfort because we were looking for a pet friendly place for a long weekend getaway to Savannah. We loved the charm of this cottage. It looks exactly as in the photos. The back porch and garden were a nice quiet spot to sit and have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at the end of the day. We liked that the garden area is fenced in so our dog could walk freely around for a bit while we sat on the porch. The cottage had all the amenities we needed, although the ice maker in the refrigerator did not work. The location is on a nice quiet street but it is a good walk to the River Walk and shops. There is a free city bus that we took a couple of times and also took an Uber at night. Overall a nice stay!

Sheets did not stay on bed. Toilet paper was very thin. Very loud dryer.
Wonderful property. Loved back porch and off street parking. Property was comfortable and close to everything. Property manager addressed burned out porch lights very quickly. We would stay there again.

The property and location of this home was perfect for what we were looking for. We had our fur baby with us, and he enjoyed the afternoon walks and just hanging out on the front porch. Listing is deceiving
Me and my husband went on VROB to look for a house to rent while we were in Savannah when searching for a house this listing came up. It looks nice. We booked it when we arrived at the listing. It was not a house, but an apartment unit with a unit downstairs and a unit upstairs in the listing it did not say anything about this, it said it was a whole house the rug in the bedroom was dirty, had stains all over it. It was disgusting the showerhead soap scum everywhere even on the glass on the shower. The showerhead was broke. The fridge is leaking on the floor not only that, but the cleaners can’t clean the upstairs the whole time they were there my dog could hear them. I was barking the whole time waking us up early in the morning. This listing is very deceiving. It is not a whole house, but an apartment we will never rent from Lucky Savannah rentals again for this reason that and the place was outdated and dirty.

Location perfect. Close to Forsyth Park and a large supermarket. Kitchen could have done with a bit more ovenware but overall we loved our stay and would do it again.

Great location but will say this downstairs apartment has thin walls! Train will definitely wake you
Beautiful location and property. The porch swing is not accessible thru the front of the apartment. Coffee in my pjs on the swing wasnt as I thought it might be but doable if you walk out the side entrance door thru the gate up the sidewalk to the shared swing on the porch. If you don’t mind the train and thin walls it’s a great property!

We loved this location and the house was great. Plenty of space and very easy on street parking. It’s an old house and we could hear a lot of what was going on from the upstairs neighbors. There’s also a train in the area we heard a couple of times. Having said all that, I think I would still stay here again

Savannah spring break
This house was an excellent space to stay while enjoying all that Savannah has to offer. We walked everywhere and enjoyed food, sights, parks, and shopping. The grocery store was just around the corner for supplies and an awesome little coffee shop as well. Checking in and out was super easy. The space was super clean and just as described. We truly appreciate being able to bring our pups with us on vacation and having such a wonderful space to stay.

Beautiful apartment, great location. I would like to suggest to clean carpet in bedroom, and check the kitchen utensils, some were put back dirty in the cabinet. Also a small dinning table will be great But overall, it was beautiful, close to everything, Comfortable, beautiful neighborhood. I’ll will come back for sure !!! Was advertised as a house that was pet friendly. Photo on site showed a gated side yard for pets. The property was in fact a multi-unit dwelling and the side yard had access for another unit as well. We couldn't stay there with our dogs and left immediately and drove back home.

Hi- We cut our vacation short because the people staying upstairs we’re so loud and disruptive. Their dog barked and barked for so long when they would leave their place. Plus they themselves were extremely loud. One evening they let the dog bark excessively at 1am, we got little sleep. We checked out a day early because It was a terrible experience.

Southern Charm Savannah Style
The location cannot be beat! Walk to all the squares, restaurants, close to Kroger’s if you want to prepare a meal in. Rent a bike from a local bike shop. Plenty of space and overall very quiet. This is the main floor, so there may be someone renting the space above you, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying this quaint southern home. Spacious and clean and a washer and dryer is on site for your convenience. Did not bring a pet, but appreciate it is dog friendly. Awesome coffee and tea place a block away. Free parking also a plus. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
