Historic Savannah CarriageHouse Park & Walk to All

This 2-story carriage house has its own private parking spot right by the door! Great location at the top of Forsyth Park behind a grand mansion on Gaston Street. A Queen size bed is upstairs, along with the bathroom. There is a TV in the bedroom. Downstairs you will find a compact full kitchen, dining table and cable TV. Due to the stairs this unit is not recommended for anyone with a small child or for the elderly/infirm.

​​​​​​​The washer and dryer guests may use while staying here is shared, located in the ground level utility room of the owner's main house in front of this carriage house.

For additional vehicles, parking is on-street and spots are easy to find at this location. Meters are handled via the "Park Savannah" app or with a 'Visitors Parking Day Pass' available to cover all day/night parking for travelers. This can be purchased from the Visitors Center on MLK, the Parking Services office on Bryan. Check with the City of Savannah for current pricing on Day Pass purchases. Within one block there is non-metered parking for those who prefer not to pay.

Très bien situé, mais dans une ruelle avec des poubelles.
Nous avons stationné l'auto et avons mardché partout dans la ville historique. À moins d'un mille du centre d'information touristique. Dans l'ensemble nos deux journées à Savannah furent agréables.

Location, Location
Stayed in the carriage house for a few days. Within walking distance to great places to eat (Taco Affair is fantastic) and historic sites. About a mile walk to river district with several shopping and dinning options. DOT (free shuttle) stop located just a few steps from the rental. TV selection is limited, did not have smart TVs so we couldn't login to our personal subscriptions. Upstairs bed is extremely firm, we used the sofa bed downstairs. House was clean, towels and linens were provided. Overall a cozy and nice place stay.

One night in snowy Savannah
Our one night planned in Savannah turned out to be after the mess of a snowstorm they received so walking around town was not ideal. Luckily our accommodations here were exactly as described, clean, cozy and comfortable. Very convenient location and the private parking space was a nice perk. We look forward to returning when we can enjoy more of the city.

Nice carriage house but not easy to locate. I wish the hostess had offered some coffee to go with the 2 coffee makers. This is the first Vrbo property I stayed at that doesn't provide coffee and creamer/sweetner.

Cute and well-situated property
We had a comfortable three-night stay in this cute carriage house. It is super well-located—you can walk to everything in the downtown area, and the parking space is a great bonus, though anything larger than a medium-size car will have a hard time fitting in. The bed is quite comfortable and the downstairs is cozy. The kitchenette includes two basket-drip coffee makers of different sizes. AC worked well, though the upstairs unit had apparently been affected by moisture—possibly from Helene—and seemed a bit musty. Downstairs kitchen sink has handles installed backwards (open tap by pushing back, rather than forward), and upstairs bathtub has hot on right and cold on left, but otherwise a wonderful and charming place, well-situated and comfortable.

Location and parking great!
Really liked the convenient and safe parking. Space was good for bedroom, dining and living areas. Had a funny smell in upstairs bathroom, like backed-up sewerage issue. No shampoo provided. Would have appreciated adequate coffee/tea service. Coffee ran out after one day.

Great Location but needs work
The property is less than a mile from both River Street and Starland Yard; combined with private parking, it is in a fantastic area. Forsyth Park is a half-block away. There’s a noticeable musty smell because it’s an old building. The pictures are way brighter than it really is. The stove is in poor condition and barely heats up. When we arrived, the property hadn’t been cleaned. I will say that Savannah Luxury Properties had a cleaner arrive and take care of everything within an hour. Overall, it’s a decent place in a great neighborhood; just needs some upkeep and maintenance and it would be amazing.

Anniversary Trip
We got away for two days just us and loved being able to walk everywhere and it was great having the parking spot. Bedroom was a little warm and steps are steep so be careful.
