Renovated Historic Home in Streetcar District

Summary:
Built in 1914, this classically historic Savannah home is located in the Thomas Square Streetcar District near a ton of local restaurants. As you can see in the photos, it was totally renovated and professionally decorated just recently in 2020. It offers a totally contemporary modern feel with plenty of unique touches throughout, but much of the historic integrity has been left untouched. The gorgeous Heart of Pine flooring, generous trim and claw-foot tub have all been cleaned up and refinished, but are totally original to the home. We are situated in a transformed neighborhood that is now sprawling with fantastic local restaurants and bars. There is a new brewery just around the corner called Hop Atomica that has all of us locals raving about it.

The Space:
We offer 2 standard bedrooms with a third "trunk room" that has a pull-out couch (twin) as seen in the photos. This can be totally sectioned off at night so that there is complete privacy for those with children or just a good old fashioned fifth-wheeler! We have a cozy living room that can easily seat 5 with plenty of room and a brand new Roku TV. Additionally, we have an extremely spacious veranda off the side of the kitchen, overlooking the street lined with Live Oaks covered in Spanish Moss. It's a perfect outdoor space to gather in the evenings for a drink before hitting the town or waking up to have coffee!

Guest Access:
The entire upstairs space is yours. The downstairs section of the duplex is for the owner and is totally blocked off from the upstairs.

The Neighborhood:
We are situated on main thoroughfare but it is relatively quiet at night. It is in a recently transformed neighborhood with a ton of local eateries, including Green Truck Pub, The Vault Kitchen & Bar, Cotton & Rye, Elizabeth's on 37th, Tacos and Tequila, Fork & Dagger, and much more!

Getting Around:
We recommend just using Uber/Lyft when heading to River St/Bay St. at night as parking around the city can be a pain. Parking near the house is totally free. We are only a mile from Forsyth Park and 2 miles to City Market.

Interaction with Guests:
We are available via mobile from 9am-8pm Monday-Friday and 10am-8pm Saturday and Sunday. If you have an emergency please call 911. We live downtown so if something comes up, we can be there rather quickly.

Wonderful!
Lovely home. We felt so comfortable and safe there. Hosts were amazing. We had a couple minor issues (ceiling fan, etc.) They responded immediately and went well and beyond the call of duty to remedy the issue! Location was a bit off from the 'main tourist area' of Savannah, which was nice as much less traffic and people. Would absolutely stay there again!!! Loved it all!

The size of the house was great for the 4 of us. We enjoyed the balcony and the location was very nice. Almost everything was within walking distance. The only negative is that the floor in the bathroom wasn't very clean, and an extra chair in the living room would be nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Savannah, such a beautiful city!

The house is so cute and quaint in the local housing area of Savannah. The amenities were perfect for what we needed on our stay. The price was cheaper than the local hotels at the time of our stay. Great apartment in Thomas Square area.
Very clean and well-appointed upper floor apartment. Two bedrooms plus a twin-sized pullout sofa bed (perfect for our ten year old!). We especially loved the deck overlooking the picturesque avenue, with its live oaks resplendent in Spanish moss. Forsyth park is about a ten-minute walk, and once you're that far, downtown isn't much farther! We would walk all the way to the river and the take a Lyft back when we were ready to go home. My only very slight complaint--and it's nothing to with the hosts--is the 7am freight train one block away that happened every weekday morning.

Well kept home as listed. Felt very comfortable during our stay. About 2 mile /10 minutes from riverfront and historic district. Forsythe Park is right around the corner and a great way to spend a Saturday morning/afternoon enjoying the market and surrounding area.

LOOKS BRAND NEW
This apartment looks brand new and was extremely clean right down to the drip coffee maker! As senior citizens, we shied away from all the stairs but figured the apt. with the veranda was worth it. We stayed just before Ian's winds hit Savannah so we were able to visit with my son and eat on the veranda. We did leave a few things at the bottom of the stairs as we were the only ones with access. We loved the stacking washer and dryer and it's on my wish list! Chase and Brandon are great communicators. This is a renovated, nicely decorated apt. in an old house, so there can be noise from the first floor. If you don't mind early morning trains sounding, this is a fantastic place.

Precious place! Very clean! Comfortable beds! Even though on a busy street you couldn’t hear the noise inside. Able to park right in front of house, which was very nice! Owner provided personal cell and made sure we had everything we needed! We had all amenities needed. Will definitely stay here again!!
