Sisters' Weekend Getaway
Publié le 20 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayFirst of all, the location in the Historic District is excellent. Easy and safe walking opportunities, yet located off the major roadways. A quiet and safe neighborhood, near restaurants, Flagler College, and the Lightner Museum. The downtown parking garage parking pass was a much appreciated bonus! We had a very enjoyable 3 days.
The condo itself is lovely. Very attractive. Large screen TV's in two rooms; internet was great. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is up-dated and well equipped. However, the building had apparently been recently flooded, so the downstairs hallway had a distinct mildew smell; the upstairs condo was much better, but still slightly evident. If someone is sensitive to this, it would be a good idea to explore this in more depth with the owner/manager.
Our stay coincided with a Super Moon which happens a few times a year. The high tide came in and flooded the road and sidewalk in front of our building for approximately 2 - 3 hours every 12 hours. What a surprise that was. The water was quite deep, and the neighbors were able to give us very valuable advice; they told us not to drive through it unless we took the car to a car wash right away. We were totally safe the whole time, and our parked car was always dry. We used a local tide table to plan our day around when we were able to drive in and out of the parking lot. This does not happen every month, but it would be worth checking out.

Great location in Savannah

A Great Stay

Wonderful stay!
Publié le 14 août 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful property within walking distance to many Savannah landmarks. Our intended arrival was the day a tropical storm was set to hit Savannah and the property manager worked with us to flex our stay by a few days and kept us updated on flooding in the area.
I will definitely look up this property management for our next trip in the area. Had a wonderful stay!

Downtown Gem!
Publié le 10 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall this was a perfect get away for us. We loved the area as it was in the historic part of town close to several of the parks and venues. Only issue was the comfort of the sofa and the construction noise from the neighbors!

Be weary of the garage parking
Publié le 17 juin 2024 sur HomeAwaySavannah Lanes are very narrow and making the turn was challenging to get in the garage. If you have a larger vehicle good luck. I had a mustang and it bottomed out every time I left. On last day I realized they had some scrap wood for this. Garage remote was also broken. Said they couldn't fix till after my stay so it was a pain. No issues with interior it was as pictured. Owner was quick to respond but it was with a nothing we can do answer.

It is disheartening when guests punish us with bad reviews for things we have no control over, like the width of the lanes in a city we didn't build.
However, if this guest had read his check in letter thoroughly, it stated in the parking info that the garage is TIGHT.
There was no way to get a garage door repair person to the home on a weekend - this is why it coudn't be fixed until after he left. Not everything CAN be fixed immediately & if this is your expectation - then please stay at a hotel.

Historic Heaven

It is a former carriage house and retains the feel of old Savannah while being beautifully appointed with all the modern luxuries. It is centrally located in the historic district and is an easy walking distance from all historic Savannah has to offer. We loved it!

Great Time!
