A week on the beach
Publié le 17 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayPerfect location, beautiful beach, excellent food nearby at the club and super-helpful staff. The house isn't new or shiny, if that's what you're looking for, but it worked well for us. We had a great week and can't wait to go again. Thank you to everyone there!

Beautiful Views
Publié le 25 mai 2022 sur HomeAwayThe views from the house are amazing. The house is very nice and well equipped with everything we needed. The grocery stores and restaurants are pretty far away so we chose to have a cook do meals twice a day. I would definitely recommend this. We used Kaynell
and Pebbles from A Taste of Di Island and they were fantastic.

Wonderful stay in Eleuthera!
Publié le 7 mars 2022 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful week at Provender. The house sits right on the beach. A beautiful place to stay, or explore the island. Sun, swimming in the ocean, relaxing on the deck. Beds are very comfortable. Communication was excellent with homeowners. We had a few issues with the AC in one of the bedrooms and some of the other amenities didn't quite work, but that couldn't dampen our stay in a beautiful place. Overall, a terrific week in paradise!

The rooms each have their own bathroom so you have privacy and the communal space. The property manager helped us get a cook for one night and we enjoyed the club and other restaurants other nights. We enjoyed the beach for hours including the paddle boards. We also got out to some other sites for snorkeling where the coral life was truly pristine. A simple but lovely life. Highly recommend.

Lovely Location Needs TLC
Publié le 24 août 2021 sur HomeAwayWe had a lovely stay. With that, we arrived to a humid, hot, wet house and an AC repair van. Our first night, we experienced AC issues that lasted throughout the stay. One bedroom and the living room blew hot air the entire seven night stay, even after I mentioned it to the property manager. The repair technician never came back. One bathroom had a tub that didn't drain. That, thankfully, was fixed. The lamp on my bedside table was missing it's lampshade. The towels were ripped, frayed, had bleach stains, and were old and rough. The bed linens were old and scratchy. We ran out of water twice and when it was fixed the second time, the water was orange. My daughter had a tarantula and crabs in her bedroom throughout the stay. Grout missing on countertop and ants in kitchen everyday. The curtains in our bedroom were stained as was the dressing table top. We've been traveling to this island for decades. Never have I stayed in a home in such need of care. And, we were told days before our arrival that the pool was closed for repairs. All of that aside, we had a fun vacation snorkeling, fishing, splashing in the waves, and exploring. We asked for a partial refund and were ignored. This is a lovely island with lovey homes and lovely people and this home has a history and reputation that demands quality. My hope is that the owner fixes the issues for future renters.

You are correct, I have been unable to travel to the house during COVID due to UK travel restrictions, and the house has been a bit neglected. We are in the process of addressing all these issues and should soon be back to the standard we have maintained for many years.

Nightmare! Don’t waste your money!
Publié le 23 juin 2021 sur HomeAwayWe rented this property before Covid happened and when it did the owners wouldn’t give us our money back so we waited over a year and a half to stay there.
The house was a nightmare. We arrived to only half the house with working air conditioning. Called immediately and was told they would send someone out and never did. We had to cram 10 people into two bedrooms for the remainder of the trip.
The electricity went out half way through the trip. Since the generator was down and had been for weeks they told us we were out of luck. With no electricity that means no air conditioning and no water!
You can’t open doors and windows because of bugs and got so hot in the house one of our kids got sick. After 30 hours without electricity, air and water, we left and took early flights home.
It was very disappointing waiting so long for a trip to have hosts that don’t care that you are staying there in those conditions.
The island is beautiful and recommend going but please do NOT stay at this house!

And now the truth: The power was out for 12 hours (not 30) and the generator failed that day (not weeks before) and has since been fixed. Most houses on the island don’t have generators, because power outages are typically brief and not a problem, so this house is actually better prepared for a power outage than most. Please see our 30 other excellent reviews.
Attention other owners: Do not rent to this guest. She tried to extort us and left a false review.

Louisiana Cajuns in Paradise
Publié le 17 juill. 2019 sur HomeAwayProvender exceeds all expectations with regard to its setting on Windermere and the ability to handle large families in efficient comfort. The property is secluded enough to isolate you from other visitors yet provides immediate beach access and a view from the balcony that has no rival. William and Bobbett are gracious hosts ready to take care of any wish that you may have. Mahalia (our surrogate Mom for the week) looked after the house chores and made us feel like family. We will always return to our favorite spot on earth.
