Weekend Stay
Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe area and surroundings were absolutely beautiful, the accommodation however was not what was expected as soon as you walk in there was a fusty smell and very old furniture which was very uncomfortable also the beds were hard and uncomfortable and the kitchen equipment felt dirty and in the bathroom there were cobwebs, all in all good weekend but the accommodation was overpriced and disappointing 😞

Lovely cottage
Publié le 21 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayA great little cottage. Stayed for a week. Away from hustle and bustle but close enough to Scarborough, whitby, filey, Bridlington. Some nice walks about. Our dogs loved it.

Peace and quiet

Cute and cosy cottage, ideal for a break away

Cottage was cute, cosy and had everything you need.
Clear communications from the lovely Jo. Welcome note, tea/coffee/sugar/milk/biscuits to start the break off were much appreciated. I'd definitely recommend. 3 cottages, meaning up to 12 people could stay.

Beautiful little gem
Publié le 18 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayLight , airy ,a very sweet cottage . The sofa is super comfy and beds are cosy and warm . The cottage was well equipped and everything was to hand. All the heating / hot water was very good. The views are to dye for , stunning location. The neighbours were very friendly . I have one small little niggle, my oversight I’m sure, but there didn’t appear to be anywhere at the top of the hill to walk our dog , so consequently it meant having to go up and down the steep windy road track . We did find Scalby beck though and it is a perfect of lead doggy walk .

Hi Jackie, glad you enjoyed your stay. If you had just walked past the cottages there is a public footpath that goes up through a wood then into some fields and onto the top of the hill, this is a beautiful walk and can be carried on in a circular which is about 4 miles, it then takes you down to Hackness along the river and eventually back to the cottages, especially beautiful at this time of year with all the primroses out. Jo
