If you are looking for a quaint old fashioned inn with character this is great for you. We wanted a small inn with an old world feel and enjoyed our stay. Rooms are clean, but also older and small. Since this is what we expected we were more then happy with it. Breakfast was easy and pleasant. Right across from the park and a short walk to the lake.
No lift so if you have issues with stairs that could be a problem.
Staff were very nice.

The property was clean room was basic problem with the hot water . Breakfast was very good. Quiet. Abit out of the way for little ones but good for us

Denise is an excellent host. Room beautifully decorated and modern. Child friendly. Whole property is in excellent condition. Proprietor has spent a lot of time and money renovating the property to a high standard. Great breakfast, cooked whilst you wait - hot and fresh

A delightful comfy hotel
Publié le 28 juill. 2024 sur HotelsThe Russell is at the back of Peasholm Park and is convenient for the Open Air Theatre. A walk to the seashore. Denise was welcoming and friendly. The beds were comfy and the room had 2 comfy chairs and plenty of drink making supplies.The breakfast was very good and served by a delightful young lady. As a person with limited mobility I found the stairs steep but not unexpected in older properties. Parking was in the drive and we had to wait for someone to move their car but on street parking was available. I suggest a record car reg to room number would have helped. We enjoyed our stay and would book again. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

Nice quiet road. Close to the beach. Just a short walk,but its a slight hill. Convenient for outdoor theater. Fabulous breakfast, it kept us going most of the day. Very little street noise. Definitely would book again.

THE RUSSELL

View was limited over driveway but not too close to next door and plenty of daylight in room, opposite Peasholme Park and parking was easy. Bus stop was around the corner. It felt a safe area to stay. Owners and guests were quiet and friendly ,no disturbancies from squeeky floorboards, toilets or traffic. Breakfast was excellent . Dining room , lounge and hall were all tastefully refurbished . A lovely relaxing stay .
