Excellent Family Vacation
Publié le 4 août 2024 sur HomeAwayHot tub, sauna, toys, and video games. Perfect fit for a three generation family vacation. We rented the pontoon also and enjoyed riding in the boat and swimming off the sandbars. We also threw some casts off the dock and caught many panfish and even a northern pike! Our kids (3 & 4) slept well in the bunk bed room and enjoyed all the toys. We will definitely book again!

Annual Golf Trip
Publié le 11 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayFor the 19th year our group of guys got together for our annual golf trip which was in Stevens Point this year. We choose to be 30 minutes away from SP because of this property. A wonderful mix of ‘close enough’ but feels like you’re out on the edge of the lake by yourself. The home is well kept, well appointed and includes all the things a group of 30 and 40yr olds trying to relive the good ole days could want and then some (we all have younger kids and agreed this is a great place for families as well). The owners were easy to work with and quick to respond to a few questions we had. Great place, will be on our ‘run it back’ list for future trips.

Great family vacation

We also did the boat rental and had so much fun exploring the waterways and finding sandbars for swimming. We were shocked no mosquitoes in the evenings! Property was clean with lots of fun amenities for us including sauna and hot tub. And the kids enjoyed all the toys! Lovely vacation home!

Needs some improvements
Publié le 14 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe overall scheduling and check-in was smooth. Upon arrival we noticed lots of garbage left from the previous guests. We also noticed the patio door downstairs never locked and we had to use a bar to secure it which I didn't feel secure at all. The master bed was very uncomfortable and caused severe back pain. We also had an issue of ants. Night 1 the ants were all over the lower level and bar. We notfied the owner and they were out that same day and she said it was from the previous guest. After rain the 3rd night the ants were much worse. I notified the owner again and some of my family left early because of this. There is also a huge gap in the flooring I would stub my toe on and injured myself. There is no immediate fix so I didn't notify the owner as you can see they were updating the floors but left a 1 inch gap in a high traffic area. After day 1 we noticed our socks were black from the floors even tho it was just cleaned. The toilet downstairs isn't secure and rocks as you attempt to stand up. The hot tub was good but not hot only luke warm. As I said room for improvement. Fishing was fun and the location was good.

I am disheartened by your review as you did not bring any of these concerns to our attention other than the ants during your stay.
They only garbage left over from previous guests was a single trash can in the basement that our cleaner did forget to empty during a turnover which I apologized for immensely. The ants were addressed immediately when you raised the concern and we followed up the next day and you said it was resolved. It was not until checkout that you stated there was another issue. When we arrived to clean immediately after checkout, we found zero ants. We also gave you a discount on the pontoon rental to make up for the ants on your first day.
We have never had any complaints regarding the bed or the toilet or the flooring. When we asked how you were enjoying the stay halfway through, you said it was wonderful and did not note any of these grievances.
The hot tub was set to 108 degrees when you checked out and the sliding door is sometimes difficult to get latched so we have added the steel security bar to ensure guests to feel secure.
I am apologetic of the ants and again, we were immediately onsite to resolve, checked in the next day, and gave you a discount on the boat.

Wisconsin Wonderland Trip
Publié le 8 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayFor the second straight Summer vacation in Wisconsin and the Hosts did not disappoint. The house was beautiful and located in an easy to access location on the lake. The property was fully stocked with everything we would need and much more. The hosts provided everything needed for entertainment and relaxation. Some highlights of the trip were the excellent fishing from the dock and kayaks as well as the abundance of wildlife. We encountered deer, black squirrels, a groundhog, eagles as well as other birds, and plenty of frogs and turtles. After long days on the lake the hot tub and basement video games were a great end to the day. Thank you Brittany and Bart for the great trip to your beautiful home, The Glotzbachs.

Perfect place for our family.

The extra supplies at the house came in handy. The basement was a fantastic gathering space for us and created lasting memories. Hoping to stay here again!

Lake View with Amazing Basement
