Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). overall quite nice. construction next door was minimal, BUT the closeness of the new structure really took away from the overall feel. i'm sure 5-6 established trees and a little time will soften this effect.

Gallagher residence !
Clean, comfortable and great location ! Sweet neighbors ! Could use a grill and a small table outside we would have loved to sit outside and have dinner but there was no place for the four of us to sit and eat and the weather was beautiful. Loved that we got early check in that was so nice as we are not that far away so that was a major plus !!!! The address sign did break it was not is it looks like it weathered and broke down the middle my girls while riding bikes we took a picture and will let the rental company know. We have stayed in sea ranch several times and it doesn’t disappoint and your location was beyond !!!!!!! Oh and a VHS player would be cool you have so many great videos !!!!!! Thanks again ❤️

There were mouse waste on the window sill above the sink, which was there three week earlier when we stayed in the same house. The master bed was broken, and the mattress was old and very uncomfortable. They need a new bed.

The photos of the view are why we chose the property but we were notified after we rented the house that construction had started next door in December 2022 but the house hadn’t started to go up yet. The house is nearly built and looks like it has been like that for months. It completely blocks all views from the back (see hot tub photo in the listing and imagine a house completely blocking the view. The photos need to be update accordingly. There’s a nice view in the front but the 4 construction trucks and portable toilet ruined any chance of enjoying it. The beds are both broken, the flooring is coming up in a few areas, the fridge makes a rattle noise, and the TV is super tiny. Other than that, the house is very close to the bluff trail, and there were moments when we enjoyed it so I added a star for that.

Great Getaway
I'm pretty sure this is one of the earlier homes built at Sea Ranch. It shows its age, but there has been some updating. The furnishings are very comfortable. You may see the home described as having 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, but there are 2 baths. It was very comfortable for 2 couples. The living room was large and the bedrooms were also spacious. The kitchen is well-stocked with the necessary dishware, silverware, etc. Most of the appliances are newer. It is conveniently located to the golf course, to Gualala and the regional park, and just a short distance down the street there is a wonderful little trail that meanders through the trees along a brook and eventually ends up back at Leeward. I would say the rental fee is very reasonable for the area.

Beautiful affordable ocean view property. However, the property immediately adjacent (10’ away towards the ocean) is building a new home. Construction starts at 7 am. Workers, equipment and supplies ruin the ambience and the new home will ruin the view.

Loved it!
It was the perfect sized house for our family. Perfect Sea Ranch location for us. Easy access to the bluff trail. Easy to get into Gualala for groceries. The hot tub was great in the evenings…we would happily stay there again.

First off, we will always have a good time at Sea Ranch because we love the coastal community. That said, you look forward to going to a house to stay. You pay a lot of money for 3 nights... and you're still looking forward to being there. Then you walk into the house, an older house, that has not been maintained. Has not been painted inside for decades, marks all over the walls, sheet rock missing on the corners with the metal showing through, old linoleum rolling up by the shower and tub and behind the toilet. Interestingly, the tub and shower looked relatively new but no one bothered to glue down or caulk the walls or flooring. It was disappointing to say the least. There was new silverware but all the cooking utensils were damaged or nonexistent. That goes for the cookware as well. All this said, ultimately it is the owners responsibility to maintain the house but the Agency (VRBO and Vacasa) has the responsibility to manage houses that are maintained to a certain standard especially with all the fees that double the cost per night. If the owner can't keep the house maintained the Agency should not have them in their inventory to rent.

Perfect oceanside getaway
This was my fourth time visiting sea ranch and my favorite place I’ve stayed overnight. We were two couples, and the house felt spacious for 4 people, even though it is fairly small in footprint. We loved the proximity to the walking path and to the regional park near Gualala. Would absolutely recommend this place!

Late notice on Covid regulations took our arrival night away forcing us to get a hotel. Once at the home the front door wasn’t operational forcing us to close and open with the deadbolt only, possibly had been broken into previously and door hadn’t been repaired. Late check in and early check out times makes the stay much shorter

Awesome!!
We loved our stay at sea ranch! This vacation rental had one of the best stocked kitchens!! The beds were comfortable and I wish my living room had the amazing window seat. When you sat on the deck you had a nice view of the ocean. Not to mention the hot tub was icing on the cake! We would definitely come back and appreciate how responsive the property management was.

Wonderful New Years Getaway at Sea Ranch
We were a group of two couples staying at Sea Ranch for two days over New Years. This home was a terrific choice for us! Wonderful ocean views from inside the home and especially from the large outdoor deck and HOT TUB! The house is clean and well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We had a fire going in the fireplace every afternoon and evening making for cozy relaxation when we weren’t out exploring the beautiful trails, vistas and amenities at Sea Ranch. I strongly recommend this home to future guests. We would absolutely stay here again! Ken M.

Full disclosure: I booked this place for me/my husband and his sister/partner to celebrate their recent marriage. But the morning we were to fly down, my husband threw out his back! So we couldn't go... but my sisters-in-law did and LOVED it, saying it was the best place they've ever stayed in Sea Ranch (to which they've visited many times from the Bay Area). So we are already planning a revised trip!

Great Location for Bluff Trails
The house was clean and nice. We enjoyed the ocean views from back deck / hot tub. The location was very close to scenic bluff trails. We also enjoyed a trail that followed a creek was lush with vegetation. Many deer can be seen from the house and on walks. Nice location for morning and afternoon walks. Close to Gualala for groceries or restaurants. We’d definitely choose this house for future visits.

Loved Staying at The Gallagher House
A perfect house in a great location. Lovely views of the ocean from inside the house, outside deck, and the hot tub. There are several options for walking along the bluff, which includes viewing the resting harbor seals. We even saw a whale spouting. Great access to beaches, lighthouses, and Fort Ross. We will be back!
