We call our home Standing Wave. For us and our guests, staying here is a relaxing and tranquil experience. Things are calm and peaceful and yet filled with the excitement of the dramatic ocean views.

You won't believe the view, the peace & the serenity here! Come for a peaceful getaway. Enjoy all that this amazing coast has to offer. You can spend the entire day relaxing & whale watching in your private accommodations, or venture out to take full advantage of all that Sea Ranch has to offer...year-round, outdoor heated pools, hiking trails, tennis courts, and more views! You'll want to come back again & again!

Your accommodations will be in our guesthouse, on a gated, private Sea Ranch estate. We purchased this unique property 2 years ago because of the amazing location & privacy, and we love to share it with others. It is one of the largest oceanfront parcels at The Sea Ranch, with commanding views of the Pacific in all directions. The cottage is separated from the main house by a large meadow & rolling hills (see pictures). We are regularly treated to parades of whales & seals, deer migration, foxes, birds, and other abundant wildlife!

Your romantic cottage is studio-style, which is appointed with a wood burning fireplace, wet bar with microwave & mini-fridge, and tall ceilings with open concept living & comfortable sleeping area. There is a large bathroom with double sinks, as well as a full wet room with double shower & large bathtub. The entire cottage is bathed in natural light with large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ocean. And if you decide to venture outside, there is a private deck for dining, lounging, or whale watching.

Gorgeous Views!
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this slice of heaven. I especially like properties that aren’t gigantic and this cottage was perfect, but still managed to feel luxurious. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a treat (jacuzzi tub.) I can’t explain the view well enough. Phenomenal comes to mind. We even spent 2 nights star gazing. Loved every minute.

Beautiful setting, well designed space and smoothly organised by the hosts. We got a verbal slap on the wrist for unknowingly checking in an hour and a half early. (Its self check in) which felt completely unnecessary and left a sour taste. That being said the hosts do a great job, Brittany may have just been having a bad day. Would still highly recommend

Having grown up in the Territory of Hawaii, I favor Ocean front vacation rentals. Standing Wave TOPS our list! It was pouring rain and very windy upon our arrival, and I had to try 20 times to get the entry key to work, before it did,…and we called off the housekeeper the Hosts had Called out on such a night. Despite a late November booking, we then had a great full experience of Sea Ranch, and two nights with a warm hearth and beautiful classical music embracing us! These hosts are the best!

perfect weekend
this property is absolutely stunning and the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The location was beautiful and private and close to Stewarts Point General store (coffee and sandwiches) and the Lodge (cocktails and dinner). Easy access to Sea Ranch trails and community pools. The hosts were fantastic and the house had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back!

Beauty and comfort, perched above the Ocean
My husband and I celebrated his birthday, in comfort and wonder in this spectacular place. Perched above an Ocean cove, the setting is astonishing to wake to, and we loved sitting out on the deck watching the waves and sea birds. The furnishings and the appliances are all high quality - feeling quite different to use than the 'for tenants' selections of some rental properties. Thank you for our very special stay!

Outstanding experience
Book it......now!!!! An amazing little house with spectacular views, it's hard to say more. This was a perfect place to unhook with the beauty of the rocky cliffs and Pacific Ocean just a few feet away. Gualala is a super little town to get any supplies you may need to grab a quick bite. We spent hours on the patio, and it was both relaxing and invigorating.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! The check-in process was super simple and the location was incredible! Everything was well laid out and the view was spectacular. We ran into a bit of foggy weather, but when the sun came out it was wonderful to sit outside and listen to the ocean. Would highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway.
