Lovely one night stay from London. Had a twin bed room with my adult daughter. Very comfortable beds. European style bathroom. Was very centrally located. No car needed. Trip from London to hike 7 sisters. Lovely village.
We had called a week in advance of our stay to arrange a late check out. Was told I'd need to do it on the day of arrival. When we arrived, I was told we'd need to sort in the morning which defeated the purpose (we did a full day hike arriving around 9 or 10pm- so the late check out was to be able to sleep in). Lovely lady who checked us in said she'd clean our room last when I explained that. Woke up to what sounded like our door being smashed in- in my pyjama shorts- go to door thiking thers a fire - it's some angry man telling me it's 10 past 10 (10 minutes past their check out). Found this behaviour absolutely bizarre and highly inappropriate. Room was cute but cold, no extra blankets anywhere and couldn't seem to see any way to turn any heat on. Place is actually really quaint and I thought the room was totally fine for the price. Angry morning man let it down, would not book again based on that obnoxious experience but honestly- the place itself is totally cozy so might be ideal if you don't need a later check out.
Very friendly staff and fairly close to the water.

Impressed with room, nice size all facilities that we needed. However, we couldn't sleep even with ear plugs in due to noise upstairs. We could hear talking, chairs(?) dragging on the floor & stomping up & down till late. Not ideal when we had a long drive the next day. We will not be returning, sadly.
