Lots of families since the hotel is convenient to the Monterey Aquarium. Good free breakfast. The biggest problem we had was that our room was not ready at check in.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent and so nice. Our hotel room was clean. We felt safe and comfortable. We enjoyed the gym. Just wished the inside pool was bigger just because when we tried going there was already a lot of people and felt crowded. The breakfast was great and free. We did wish the check in time was earlier just so we can leave our stuff in the room and go explore without worrying about having it in our cars but everything worked out in the end. The hotel is close to the aquarium and the beach so that was a huge plus for us! In past reviews some people did complain on extra fees so do ask about those. I asked and they answered my questions. They give $15 back which I was hoping they would be able to give back in cash but was told to get something from the shop. Also, the elevators are slow but that wasn't a big deal for us.

The property is nice and the rooms look very nice. The beds are extremely comfortable. For what you pay for overall it is not worth it. Our rooms air conditioning worked very well. However the heater did not work at all. At night the room would get really cold. Before entering the room all the power cords to the televisions were unplugged. Not that this is a big problem I just believe before leaving the rooms after prepping for the next guest everything should be tested really quickly maybe create a checklist for employees before exiting the room to ensure everything is not only exceptionally clean but is fully operational. Again not a big deal to me. Buffets typically get a bad rep as far as quality goes and here was another perfect opportunity for Hilton to prove everyone wrong but that wasn’t the case. Food quality was poor and prepared poorly. I have been a chef for over 15 years and I usually don’t complain about the food but for how much you pay to stay here the food and the staff preparing the food need to step it up.

Beautiful property and the interior atrium is an unexpected quality that certainly exudes the Hilton brand..
