Peaceful Retreat

The cabin is simple but has everything you need, including a comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen. The wood fireplace makes it so cozy. Great place to curl up and read a book. Easy, responsive, and helpful communication with the host This was our second stay and can't wait to return!

Great getaway!

Maggie was able to roam around and explore her surroundings, and be a country dog for a few days. It was a great place to hunker down and escape the rat race for a bit. It was hard to leave but we hope to be back one day!

Writers Retreat
Publié le 4 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe arrived on the first night of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, which was also a super blue moon in September, a most auspicious beginning! We love this property which was most conducive to writing everyday. The kitchen was conveniently well-appointed, the outside deck a great place to hangout, and the sunsets as others have noted are an everchanging panorama of awe and beauty. And it was so quiet! We'd love to come back.

TOO COLD
Publié le 7 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I are in our 70's and 80's. We arrived Monday and left the next day, Tuesday, because we were too cold. The only heating source available was a wood burning stove in the living room and a propane fireplace in the bedroom. We cannot use a wood burning stove or fireplace because we e are allergic to the smoke. It would be nice if they had a propane heater in the living room also. The other problem we had for this day and age there was only 1 electric outlet in the living room/dining area. It would be nice if they had some electric outlets by the kitchen table. Other than that, the location/views were outstanding.

From the owner: "Hello, we are sorry you were not satisfied with our rustic cabin. The description and my welcome letter clearly stated the heat sources, and we also mentioned bringing wood for additional heat. I bet it is not fun having allergies to smoke. As for the outlets, the cabin is from the 1950s. We have updated and modernized it in many ways but try to keep the charm. We provide multiple outlet extension cords in the kitchen. And we agree, the views are outstanding!"

Remote Getaway
