Renter beware

My grandkids feet were black from walking inside the house (right after their bath) as were others who walked around barefoot in the house. The bunk beds were not safe to sleep in; very unsteady. There was not a pull out sofa, just a sofa and no extra sheets or pillows. We had to go to Walmart and buy pillows. The thermostat downstairs did not work and it was extremely hot. The stair railing was loose and the transition board to the stairs was not firmly attached and was tripped over many times. You cannot access the water or use the kayaks. The water is down (as we were aware) and it is extremely unsafe for children to be near the dock/water. There is a 8-10 foot drop off the end of the dock onto the shoreline with no fencing or barriers to prevent falls. The grill wouldn’t light so we could not grill our hamburgers that we were planning to have for dinner. The sheets in the twin room had tiny, brown bugs in them and long hair that did not belong to us. That was the icing on the cake. We relocated to a wonderful, clean property and were given a full refund. We shouldn’t have had to move locations but could NOT stay there for many safety reasons.

Peace during chaos

Excellent weekend getaway!

Great Lake house
Publié le 15 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThis house was very beautiful and perfect for a lot of guest! We had 10 people stay here and all fit comfortably. We stayed for the weekend to float the comal river. It was about a 25 minute drive from the river. Totally worth the drive for the beautiful lake view! The check in process was very easy and the house was clean. I absolutely would stay here again.

Only two minor things, all the carpet should be removed and just have regular floors and new coffee pot, it didn’t work well, but the keurig was perfect. Even with these minor things,, this house had plenty of room, the views were amazing and I hope for the need to go back to Seguin, it will definitely be my place to stay. Girls weekend might just have to be planned here.
