The main issue was a very poor air conditioning system that has nothing to do in a brand new hotel. It is so noisy that we had to turn it off, but when doing that it started to blow a light breeze of heat. We reported it to the reception, to no avail. Breakfast was average and the advertized (hotels.com) evening reception was not there. We left a day early to get some decent sleep elsewhere. We are european, so we say things in a more subtile way than some americans. However, when asked if we had a good stay, we answered "obviously not if we are leaving a Day early!" Which triggered no further question. We felt the manager was very involved in running the place at best, but staff around him need a lot of improvement to provide decent service.

I requested a step in shower room for my mom who is on a walker. I was given room 135. When attempting to use the pullout sofa bed, it was found to be stained as if it had been used in and NCIS murder movie. I was moved to room 214, across the hall from an elevator. One of the bathroom lights out, the fan was so noisy in the bathroom that it woke up my mom when I attempted to use it during the night. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable that it was like sleeping on spring and not a mattress. I have stayed at many Marriott properties, I find this to have been the worst. I must command the staff who made every effort to try and make things right by first finding me another room and then adjusting my bill. I would hope that someone from the corporate office would inspect this hotel and bring it up to par.

Breakfast was ok. No microwave to warm up oatmeal or anything needed to be hot.
Pool was unavailable. Not good because it was extremely hot during that week.

Although the hotel it self was very nice and clean, my checkin experience was horrible. J***a was not pleasant to work with and, in fact, extremely off-putting. In no way was she even the slightest bit helpful or hospitable. My friend booked a room and checked in but when we saw our kids would have to share the small couch pull out I decided to book an additional room. Within 10 minutes of him checking in I went back downstairs to book an additional room for our comfort. Julia had just come on shift and made what should have been easy task VERY difficult. She said hotel was sold out which I thought was odd because my friend had just booked not even an hour ago. So I went online and booked myself within 5 minutes. I stood in front of her as I did it. Before I pressed confirm I asked her if there would be a room she could put me in near my friend at least on the same floor-- that was just way too much for me to ask of her and I was bucked every step of the way. I finally got her to tell me she could "try" to get me down the hall. Mind you, this was around 2 in the afternoon. I confirmed my booking online and asked her to go ahead and check me in but she said her system was not updated so I said ok I will step outside for a moment and come back in 10 minutes? She said well then I can't save you the room if you walk away. This was ONLY THE BEGINNING of my frustration with her- this small box does not allow enough characters to provide it all. The hotel was clean and marvelously quiet! Breakfast was very good!
We would have given it 5 stars but we thought paying $5/day to park your own car in the parking lot was ridiculous. Especially since they didn’t record your license plate number so as to have violators towed. What was the point?
