Golden Iceland Cabin
Publié le 27 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a magical cabin to stay at in the heart of the Golden Circle. Not far from Selfoss and Hveragerði that will have everything that you need. The Sister's were so easy to work with and the views overlooking the river were breathtaking. The hot tub was fabulous and used every day. I was able to see the Northern lights even with a full moon. This is a very special place with a heartfelt memory that you feel as soon as you enter. We were very lucky to stay here.

A wonderful Experience

Iceland - A dream came true
Publié le 23 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis beautiful little cabin helps to enjoy your stay in Iceland much more than without ;-) It is comfortable and cozy with a personal touch of its owners.
The new hot tub with its great view is amazing and helps to relax after a long hike.
The conversation with the sisters is terrific.

All in all: We enjoyed our stay so much and if we come back to visit the other half of Iceland, we let our trip start here.

Hütte nach isländische Standard
Publié le 13 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayDie Hütte liegt gut im Golden Circle, so dass alle Ziele zeitnah zu erreichen sind. Die Sauberkeit ließ leider zu wünschen übrig. Der Backofen war ziemlich keimig und der Esstisch klebrig. Man musste aus dem Koffer leben, da alle Schränke belegt waren. Gas für den Grill war auch alle. Würde aber nachgeliefert, nachdem wir darauf hingewiesen haben. Der Whirpool verliert Wasser sobald 2 Personen diesen nutzen. Schön ist, dass Holz für den Kaminofen vorhanden ist. Wir würden das Haus leider nicht mehr buchen.

We are really sorry if you feel that the cabin was not clean enough. Regarding the dining table, it is true that it may feel sticky even though it is clean, we are not sure why; maybe we need to polish it and put a new layer of varnish on it. But the last thing we do before leaving the cabin is indeed cleaning this table before we place the bubbly wine and the champagne glasses there, waiting upon our guests’ arrival. Turning to the oven, it is certainly true that this is not a brand-new oven; it is seven years old, so keeping everything in it steel-colored and shiny is not an easy task. This, however, does not mean that there are germs in the oven, as all germs die at a temperature over 75 degrees Celsius. Regarding the hot tub, we are installing a new, totally up-to-date, hot tub this July, with all facilities. And finally, turning to the closets in the two sleeping rooms, we realize that they are not very big, but it is very far from the truth to say that they are full, because they are not. There is space to hang up clothes and there is an additional drawer in the larger bedroom for smaller clothing items. I spend two weeks in the cabin every summer with my husband for maintenance and we always unpack our suitcases and we travel with clothes for all weathers. Thus, while we disagree with the picture drawn up by these guests, we are genuinely really sorry that they experienced the cabin so negatively. If we had known that, we would have offered them a discount during their stay

Cozy Little Cabin
Publié le 24 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe absolutely enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this little cabin out and away from Selfoss! The stove was so nice to keep stoked with a fire for warmth. Johanna and her sisters were very friendly and provided great instructions. We will miss the place!
