HI Bill, I am glad you thought the home was well appointed and fully equipped. We really do try and provide absolutely everything to make the guest experience enjoyable. We provide kayaks, paddle-boards, linens, and almost every possible kitchen item we can. We constantly work to improve the guest experience. We ordered custom-fitting screens in May when we bought the home and just received and installed the ones that came. I wish they could have been delivered earlier! As for the curtains, it seems many kids pull at the curtain rods where we provide both sheer and blackout curtains. We have since bolstered their strength. We have passed on the notes about the ice maker and the single hair you mentioned to our cleaning team. As for your note about the location — we provide a multitude of different Lakehouse experiences. The house you picked has the best internet connectivity and easy access being close to a main road. The other houses are mostly more remote. The upside to being remote is a more remote experience with minimal light or sounds — the downside is worse connectivity and it takes longer to get to town. I hope whoever reading this sees the other reviews where guests love the house’s location. It is 1/3 mile away from land across from it that has a road. I would not consider it a “highway”. Most people like the homes' location. However, it is not a completely off-the-beaten-path experience- Nor is it marketed as such. You have incredible access to the main part of the lake right next to the Marina. You have a fully paved road to get to the house which is a rarity on Hyco. It seems that this guest was looking for every possible complaint they could make. They reached out and asked me for a refund on the pet fee. I did not refund it because they brought a dog and we pay our cleaners the pet fee so they can get rid of pet odor and hair. I would not be surprised if the single black hair they pointed out was from a pet. It is really hard and time consuming to remove all pet hair and odor. Most houses of this magnitude do not allow pets. We prefer not to have them. However, we permit them and just ask the guests to pay an extra cleaning fee that we pass to our cleaners for extra cleaning. We really do respond to guest feedback and continually improve the home. We bought this house in May and have put so much energy and resources to remodel it and make it an incredible lake experience. We will continue to improve it over time. Best, Jeremy

Hi Jessica, Glad you thought the house was beautiful and the location was great! I am sorry the conditions of things outside were not perfect. The summer is extremely busy and we try and not to let anything slip through the cracks and continually improve the guest experience. We normally provide two propane tanks and at least one should be full. They were both filled prior to the previous guest arriving. I apologize if that at least one was not full. As for the outdoor lights -- I stayed at the house this week as it was the first time the home has been available since we remodeled it in June. I did not even notice the corner outdoor lights weren't working until my last night at the house (when we grilled out). We replaced them in a couple of minutes. If you let me know, we would have told you where the extra light bulbs are. In order to fix things like this, we need to know about them in the first place, and during the summer that is difficult with constant back-to-back reservations and things like the outdoor lights are hard for our crew to tell because they’d need to be at the house at night to notice them. I agree we need to monitor maintenance more closely and need to reach out to guests and ask them if there's anything we can do to improve the home. We really do like and appreciate feedback and are always looking to improve the home and guest experience.
