We booked for more than a month. Initially try to book directly but when called unanswered then we decided to use EXPEDIA.
Then again try to call the resort just to reassure our booking got through. Again nobody picks up the call.
WhatsApp messages were late response and information was not completed as needed. I would like to get information on facilities available which I cannot find when Google.
When booked only 'Full Board' is available but not the 'Full Package'. I need to know about airport transfer, boat transfer, Island hopping, and any convenience store available should anything be needed last minute. No information was received.
We have to call again and again for the resort to respond to WhatsApp messages.
This situation worried me as I thought I got scammed. My entire month before vacation makes me restless.
Less than a week before our vacation then only received WhatsApp messages from the resort asking us about airport transfer, boat transfer, and island hopping confirmation.
1 day before vacation in the evening the resort WhatsApp to inform on transportation payment which is cash only. Our flight the next day is early morning. Luckily we prepare some amount of cash already as we don't like to do everything at the very last minute. We also brought a first aid kit/dry foodstuff in case no convenience store. (We are right!!)
Surprisingly from day arrival until day departure all went smoothly.
Driver calls and WhatsApp where to pick us up at the airport.

You get what you pay for
Publié le 22 mai 2023 sur HotelsThe room and view is really really lovely and we actually enjoyed our stay here. The food is really nice too. The room’s aren’t too private though, you can see and hear the villas around you (wasn’t a problem for us).
The staff really let you down though. They’re curt and rude and we felt like we were treated like outsiders for not being Malaysian the entire time (which is honestly surprising because we have been travelling around Malaysia for two months and have only ever encountered the loveliest people.
As an example - We asked for kayaks and were just told ‘no’ and had to ask several people why before someone told us that the water level might be too low, which it wasn’t because we went snorkelling in it instead (which was really lovely). Also, our whatsapp conversations were vague in the lead up to our stay and they didn’t tell us which of the two jettys we would be picked up from, which caused chaos on the day. Another example - we kept ringing the bell for the bar and the staff member would refuse to come out and serve us. I just feel that as full-price paying customers, we shouldn’t have been made to feel that way.
But i guess you get what you pay for. It’s the cheapest floating villa stay in the area and i would recommend it if you’re not looking for luxury and politeness. Bonus if you speak Malay :)

Look past bad reviews and make your own opinion
Publié le 17 nov. 2022 sur HotelsI would say to everyone look beyond the bad reviews,the staff are very helpfull friendly and will do their best to facilitatee your reequests.
The facility has changed since some of the bad reviews in that there is piwer during the day unless generator being topped up.
The snorkling around the facilty is good and even better when the turtles pass daily.
The food is good and varied over the 4 nights we stayed.
This is not a 5 star resort so dont look for that level of comfort,but it is a good resort where you can embrace the view and just soak in the scenery

Do choose other place to stay
Publié le 20 août 2020 sur HotelsIts The Destination that saves the trip, and that is God's work of art. The pristine waters of Sabah is magnificient. The Lato Lato Resort is a far cry from even passable. Towels unchanged and room uncleaned for the entire stay. If I can at all help u people out there who is interested to make a trip here , never ever take the island hopping package from this hotel. Go to the website n pick a full fledged tour agent which is im abundance. If u take the so called resort package, you will be dissapointed with its service, delays and quality is nott there at all. The boat they used to take u is also not suitable. End up going with other groups as this one charges a high price at a very low quality n service.

Perfect sea view bungalow

All bungalow has sea view so you don’t need to worry about the view. The shower place doesn’t have hot tub but provide u bucket for shower. It is still manageable if u take shower before 6pm not too cold. Overall the staff is friendly but u need to stand for their easy-going attitude may not perfectly stick on ur scheduled time for pick up or boat departure time for island hopping so you really need to on top of this kind of organisation. Overall the staff is friendly and welcoming. The greatest thing to stay in Lato lato is you can own the quiet place for urself, it is not overcrowded resort so you can enjoy photo shooting and sun bath on the roof top of the deck with paranormal sea view. You can jump into water or scuba diving right at the boat deck so it makes u so easy to do water activities here without too much arrangement

I was forced to fail to check in and could not cancel.
這家飯店非常的糟糕,位置顯示為陸地,住址及照片為海上。然而其陸上並無接待處帶人去海上的住宿處。
This hotel is very bad, the location is shown on land, the address and photo are on the sea. However, there is no reception on land to take people to accommodation at sea.
我留言請此飯店來機場接我,然而此飯店僅傳訊息詢問人數與留宿幾晚,從此不再回覆任何訊息。
我在機場空等無人接送,即自行設法前往Semporna的碼頭,然而此飯店亦無在安排碼頭接送,無人帶你去海上住宿處。
在碼頭空等數小時,期間幾次傳送訊息告知飯店我人在碼頭,然而此飯店依然置之不理,完全任何回應。
後來請當地人撥打電話給此飯店,其方表示碼頭接人需另支付100令吉,實在非常的惡劣。
其餘海上飯店有接送,顧客無法自行到達;即便接送需另外付費,亦應當於訂房資訊揭露。此飯店既不揭露接客需另支付100令吉的資訊,又不處理客戶無法入住的困難,是否刻意所為,迫使客人接受變相加價?
Other sea hotels have pick-up and drop-off, customers cannot arrive by themselves; even if the pick-up and drop-off requires additional payment, it should be disclosed in the reservation information. This hotel does not disclose the information that the customer needs to pay another RM100, nor does it deal with the difficulty of customers unable to check in. Does it deliberately force the guests to accept a disguised price increase?
