Great first visit to the Finger Lakes

Nice House & Great Location
Publié le 29 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe really enjoyed the location of the house. The view of the lake was fantastic. The house had plenty of room and everything was well appointed. The mattresses were a bit too firm and the queen mattress in the downstairs bedroom had a plastic covering on it which made for uncomfortable night’s sleep. Overall the house was great, despite a few cobwebs. Some upgrades to the mattresses, pillows and linens and the house would be perfect.

Thank you for being our guest and so glad you enjoyed the house! We do have brand new mattresses on the queen downstairs and I do cover them with a protective pad with plastic sides- I will look into that. We do switch out linens each season and I will be certain to make sure everything is marked clearly since we do have the hanging towels for bathing separate from “outdoor “ towels for the lake/kayaks. We had such a warm fall and with an outdoor porch there will always be a few cobwebs outside when right on the water ……. Take care and please be our guest again, Laurie and Hunter

Great relaxing peaceful getaway!
Publié le 25 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayLoved being right on the lake. We enjoyed many hours on the back deck taking in the view. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Our host was there to greet us and show us around. We plan on returning!

Enjoyable stay for mom and teen son
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe rental has a lot of room and would be perfect for a bigger family. It absolutely met our needs. It was myself and my son. My main concern was we were in a safe neighborhood, ABSOLUTELY! We have found most cottages by the lake don't have a/c so it was nice to have the window units upstairs for when we slept. We had everything we needed for cooking etc. We didn't use the washer and dryer but it was nice that it was there. We also rented their pontoon boat they have avail on boatsetter.com and spending the day on the lake was a highlight. We live in MI and swim in the big lake often and an inland lake with a sand bottom so swimming in a weedy lake isn't for us but kayaking which is provided was super. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others; Laurie and Hunter were both great to deal with.

Thank you so much Carrie! Yes, it is a safe area and we so appreciate your business .... I'm glad you enjoyed our new auxiliary air conditioners upstairs - sometimes off-season guests prefer those for sleeping to the Central Air or open windows. The pontoon is a nice addition and the kayaks are usually a hit. We do have sandy areas to swim nearby and a lakemat next to the dock to enjoy weed-free swimming. The water is staying warm right into September and that's a perk of being on a Finger Lake. Thanks for experiencing our rental. Laurie

Wedding Labor Day Weekend
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayStay was good! Fishing was bad! This house is very nice and well stocked of essentials. Communication was great! Wish either check in is earlier or check out later. Feel like we miss a day! Other than that I wholly recommend this home!
