Wonderful Stay Exceot for...

Publié le 27 mars 2018 sur Expedia
The camp is right in the center of the Serengeti. The staff, from my guide and driver, who was very knowledgeable of the fauna and very attentive to my needs, to the entire staff,: kitchen, restaurant, guards, everybody was extremely nice and helpful. The camp itself is wonderful, clean well organized comfortable. the only thing one needs to be aware of is the unprofessionalism of the sales and marketing manager, who is money hungry and has no respect for the wishes of the client. A shame for such a wonderful place!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Grumeti Migration Camp. We certainly make every effort to deliver a personalized service to our guests and it is rewarding and encouraging to receive praise such as yours to our staff members at the camp. However, we are disappointed to learn that we did not meet your high expectations as here at “Grumerti Migration Camp” the principal of customer care to our valued guests and their satisfaction is our priority at all times. As much as we like fulfilling our customers’ requests I am afraid, the Ngorongoro Circuit you insisted at a very last minute was not in our offer. On a point of note since we are located in the remote part of Serengeti National Park, all the activities we offer require pre-booking. Hence, the very first time you booked your accommodation through Expedia, we immediately made an approach to you if you required us to pre-book or provide you with any extra services which is when you got back to us stating the extra activities you wished to book with us and we initiated your request accordingly and got back to you with the confirmed day to day itinerary by return which was in agreement between us. However, we felt to assist and sincere in wishing to serve you with a quote for your last minute request for the day trip to Ngorognoro as it would have been a challenge to have this booked with a different source as in the bush it would have not been any easier to get someone provide this service last minute unless it was pre-booked. For this we had to approach the costing department and hence the delay occurred to get back to you. However, when a quote was shared with you with a thorough breakdown on the cost you found it to be exorbitant. It was indeed a pleasure to have you as our guest and we look forward to another opportunity to host you at our property.

Grumeti Migration Camp is fantastic! The service is incredible, the people friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, and the chef was great at accommodating both a vegan and vegetarian. The grounds are beautiful, there were animals visible from the camp at all times, the main tent is a beautiful place to relax, and the tents are very comfortable and clean.

A comfortable and beautiful luxury tented camp

Publié le 13 août 2017 sur Expedia
Contre : The pool was not used by anyone during our stay, and I suspect it is rarely used. It could be a bit more inviting.
Emplacement : The reason to go there is to game drive in the Serengeti and during the migration of the wildebeest.
A really beautiful luxury camp. The facilities are all excellent. The food is very good and the staff warm and friendly. The setting is beautiful. We had zebras and impala grazing right in front of our door every evening, and a beautiful view of a grassy plain, dotted with acacias. My one complaint is that it's a 45 minute drive to the Ikoma gate of Serengeti. So, if the migration is not happening in the area, then you have a long drive to get to the main action. But that is the nature of game driving in such a large area as the Serengeti.
